    Bnuc-s

At the end of the day if you want to operate commercially you have to prove to the CAA that you are a competent and responsible operator of well built and well maintained equipment. Your pilot qualification and ops manual is key to this before they will give you Permission For Aerial Work. The...

Has GPS dumbed down this hobby?

I would echo Bowley's words here - definitely a good effort :-) i wish more pilots, whether professional or sport, would take the time to fly their mr's in as manual a mode as possible - especially without GPS! i have seen too many students who on day one of their course switch GPS on before...

Help in deciding what to build for 2nd multi-rotor.

Personally, I prefer to use opto esc's that don't have any kind of bec in them. Always best to power your HF board direct / via voltage regulator as per HF manual and this will also power your rx. I'm sure you are across the fact that HF is pretty picky about which esc's it will work with. I...

    Over-flying houses.

It's a really interesting point isn't it ;-) 'Real World' experience has certainly demonstrated to me that there's a quietly growing resistance to the the heavier machines. One of the UK's major land owners refused permission to someone with a 17kg machine but was quite happy with my sub 7kg...

    Mikrokopter Mk3638

I was always under the impression they were made by Pulso - either way they're very good :-) One of my machines uses these with Hoverfly controller and 40A Hobbywings on 4S and is extremely athletic.

    Over-flying houses.

Good points there swisser :-) One can often produce a good case for the CAA to obtain permission for flights outside of the Permission for Aerial Work norm but the wisdom of such a flight is actually the bigger factor. The relatively recent ditching in the Thames incident was a good case in...
