    *Help* Propellers Keep Coming Off

I just used a regular nut and cinched those down onto the nut actually holding the prop onto the motor. With both nuts cinched down, I have never had a loose prop or one fly off. You don't need a specific 'lock nut' but just a 2nd should do. Hope that helps.

    Fully Certified Phantom Pilot.

Where can I get one of those cool 'Captain' hats? I totally need one when I am flying. Shows who the boss is...:highly_amused:

Uh oh boys and girls, I think Skynet just came online!!

Keep an eye on your multi copters everyone. They just might turn on us now. :black_eyed: http://www.cnn.com/2013/11/17/us/drone-malfunction-duplicate-2/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

Just a thought on the future of Flight Controllers??

I would not think that idea is crazy at all. However, these are very complicated pieces of engineering. The hardware portion, accelerometers etc. are the simple part. The software is where the devil in the details is. If the hardware cannot provide the software precise and valuable...

Tricks to make S800 work great.

Thanks for the information Joe. I have an Alware Streak frame, I know not top notch, with 14 inch props. Have most of the jello and vibration removed but I think the APC props are flexing quite a bit. I have some Xoar wooden props on the way and am hoping that will take care of a good portion...

    Aerial Videos of Golf courses

Was wondering that same thing as I would not fly over or near anyone just for safety reasons. Here in Arizona, United States, luckily we have the middle of the day as it is very hot but most places, I can see that being a challenge. Not like they are going to close the golf course.

Possible bug in A2 built-in receiver.

No, no, no. It is not a bug but a feature!! Keeps your flying much more exciting while you wait for your baby to come crashing to the ground! :highly_amused:

Which WKM firmware is safe to use currently?

Heard of some issues with 5.26 and 5.24 but can't remember what the 5.26 items were. For 5.24, I had issues where I was getting the white flashing led lights letting me know the Wookong was having issues with vibration or some other issue. Did not change anything and rolled back to 5.22. It...

    Very cool Burning man vid

So, pretty cool footage but definitely overflight of people. Not to mention, with the amount of drugs there, some people probably thought aliens were invading. :shame: What are your thoughts? http://gizmodo.com/take-a-stunning-drones-eye-tour-of-burning-man-1278862158

    WARNING - Firmware 5.24

Don't have FPV or telemetry setup on my hex and I had the same issue with 5.24. For my setup, I believe it has to do with the vibration. No issues with 5.22 but with 5.24, the Wookong is not happy. Very little vibration on my platform either.

Caught on camera, multirotor crashes into crowd at Great Bull Run

Well, the article is now on the front page of CNN.com. Should be hearing from the FAA shortly. Glad to hear that the UK is more organized about the rules and regulations.

Caught on camera, multirotor crashes into crowd at Great Bull Run

Has anyone been a member or dealt with the AMA, in regards to multi-rotor aircraft? I am curious as it would seem a group helping to push safety, professionalism and knowledge would do our group well. For pilots of actual aircraft, there is the AOPA (Aircraft Owner's and Pilot Association)...

The WooKong is dead, long live the A2

I agree with you Chris, what is the selling point of this model besides the new name? I have actually been happy with my Wookong once I had everything tuned, balanced and definitely don't want to drop another grand, plus on a flight controller. By the way, I need to know what products from...

Warnig for GPS mode flights for the next few days in the UK

I was wondering about that large disturbance on the sun. Saw an article on Weather.com. Love that we have to worry about IMU's having issues, props breaking, ESC's going bad, transmitter signal being lost and now, sunspots. Sigh...

XAircraft x650 Pro - SuperX - Crash - Post Mortem Help Request

Wow, just lurking on this post but Drew, hats off to you and your company's support. I don't think I have seen that level of support from any type of company for a long, long time. Looking at the Super X flight controller to replace my Wookong, possibly and you just might have convinced me. :-)

DJI Released New Firmware 5.24 for WKM

I do not believe the LED is mandatory. I upgraded but had some issues with the IMU apparently getting a bad signal. (Flashing white led light). I was still able to connect to the controller via the USB plug to change the gains etc. I could not get it to where the white LED flashing would go...
