    Tricopter Frame Kits?

yep, i read only difference is camera gimbal output. I have no download link, i used the lazyzero flash tool that downloaded the fw automatically. I'm not using gimbal output, so i could have gone with 1.4, but as it was there available... :)

    Tricopter Frame Kits?

ken what fw are you using on the kk2? i just tried 1.5 today on a quad and it is a huge improvement compared to 1.2: now autolevel actually works. I too am waiting parts to arrive to build my first tri, i have built and flown quads, hexas, X8, and now i've settled in the last 10 months with y6...

    Turnigy Plush 30A ESC

i have the plush 30 on my Y6. With previous firmware of Naza, you had to boot Naza first and then power the escs. Now with latest Naza firmware this problem isn't present any more.

Flight Characteristics of DJI Naza vs other Flight Controllers?

naza does really prefer smaller props spinning fast, and it's not really made for big heavy machine. You can raise basic gains, and try to put atti at 50 and see if it is still flyable, but don't expect wobble free flying in the wind... its the biggest problem of Naza.

Flight Characteristics of DJI Naza vs other Flight Controllers?

you definately have to lower the atti gain if you want more smoothness from the flight.. i am using 65 on atti on a y6 and 190 as basic gain. This way you have the sliding on ice behaviour like kloner said.. i have an AQ50D board too, and actually i like it more than the naza as far as feeling...

    What you do?

save money on the gimbal. Don't use it. It does more harm than good with a gopro. Also , is it windy where you plan to use it? Naza doesn't like wind at all, not if you want to film.

    Naza wind wobbles

i tried with 10x5 xoar and 11x5.5E APC I have now tried on the quad emax 2215 1200kv motors, with APC 9x4.5 props. It does seem better, but i also had to lower gains because unfortunately 2 of these motors vibrate badly, i need to open them to check what's the problem. But yes, it does seem that...

    Naza wind wobbles

Hi, after waiting for months, trying to get things sorted out with another controller, i decided to give the Naza a try. I fly mostly for AV purposes, so i need a board to move slowly and precisely. I don't care about gps or RTH feautures, as i always fly LOS and use VTX only for framing aid...

    Y6 Builders thread

don't know about expensive controllers, my AQ50D has cw on top and CCW on bottom, so does Rabbit controller, but i haven't tried that board in y6 conf yet. If i remember correctly, MK uses a mixed setup, with rear motors opposite compared to front motors. You should try increasing pitch on lower...

    Y6 Builders thread

i have always used faster motors with smaller/higher pitched props on bottom. Most reading online suggested this way, and i made some not so scientific tests last year and found out it gave best thrust combination. I tried putting same props and motors on top with the AQ50D, and it flew...

    Y6 Builders thread

those look very cool... my y6 is very ghetto compared to yours... one day i'd like to find time to build mine properly and get rid of all external wires and esc so it looks tidy... anyway, after haveing used an X8 copter for 6 months, i decided i wanted a y6 with foldable arms for trasnport...

It flew away and I can't find it :( - LifePo battery dead on MX-20 transmitter

i always set my failsafe on TX to 0 % . I prefer the copter comes down like a brick rather than have it fly away without control, because i know what's beneath the copter where i am flying, but i don't know what is under it if it goes out of my control.

Point and shoot alternative to GoPro for night video

i don't remember where i read about other problems with other canon cams, probably aerial photo forum on RCG. You can turn IS off on the 220HS, but being optical kind of stabilization, it will always have the lens moving, it is never really off. Since it was new, i kept getting mixed results...

Point and shoot alternative to GoPro for night video

i don't know exactly what is going on, it could be something with image stabilization; i'm not the only one with problems with canon point and shoot cams.

What happens in a failure scenario with the variuos different FC boards and Software?

yes exactly, lower front left prop came loose.. had been doing several prop swaps lately and stopped using threadlock. I was lucky.

What happens in a failure scenario with the variuos different FC boards and Software?

i had a prop come loose in flight the other day with my AQ50D powered Y6 that was quite heavily loaded, i was above the 50% hover. The board tried its best to keep the copter level and almost managed, but there wasn't enough power from the other motor on same boom to compensate, and yaw was...

Point and shoot alternative to GoPro for night video

yes been messing around with CHDK in last month. Mainly for timelapse, as i loaded an intervalometer script. For what concerns video, you have a good option to change compression settings, and on screen you get a estimate of remaining time. At 4Gb file it will stop recording. As i said, i can't...

Point and shoot alternative to GoPro for night video

i have the 220hs which should be similar to yours, mine performs terribly from a lens point of view, but i think that some crashes may have damaged it because at times it gives soft images even locked down on tripod... anyway, you should be able lo lock focus and exposure in video mod. Before...

Need STABLE Multicopter Recommendations, 99% look unsuitable 4 filming

TRiple, it all depends how much time and money you have. You will not get any decent results before 12 months, because you are starting from scratch. I know this because I started from scratch exactly 1 year ago, and only now am i starting to get results i am quite happy with, but i keep working...

Need STABLE Multicopter Recommendations, 99% look unsuitable 4 filming

If this is your case, then just forget about it. Aerial filming is not like buying a better tripod head to get smoother pans... It takes time, determination, lots of tinkering and a certain amount of money; the videos you say are unsuitable are probably the result of at least one year of...
