not knowing but APM but the most common thing is motors spinning in right direction and props on the right motor. this probably the number one cause of newbies flipping there first builds.

those pcb boards are cheap i would just buy a new one and be done with it. You could try soldering it to VCC join on the nearest ESC like you said but i dont think it will work. What the worse thing that could happen? haha

Dx6i does not have slider knob to control the tilt you would have to upgrade to dx7 or upwards or change your controller to make it work
