Definitely not first growth timber. They don't do that or old growth any more. They don't cut anything wider that 47" in diameter. This is all from land they own. The local timber industry is also a shadow of it's old self here, but these folks are shooting for responsible, sustainable timber...

Here's an interesting video I shot at a local lumber yard using my XP2 from XProHeli, and the XPG gimbal carrying a Goro Hero3+.

Which lens filter is best for GoPro3+ black?

I'd say just contact SRP and see if they will send them to Canada. I don't work for them so I don't know much other than they said August they should be available. As for the b;ue color vs the yellow. I don't like that yellow either, but for any "real" videos shot with the GoPro I use Protune...

Tip for Jello-Free Hero3 footage for Mulit-rotor aircraft!

I just answered the question in this thread: http://www.multirotorforums.com/showthread.php?21170-Which-lens-filter-is-best-for-GoPro3-black&p=176185&posted=1#post176185

Which lens filter is best for GoPro3+ black?

I bought the Polar Pro for it's lightness (10-12 grams) so I could use it with the DYS 3-Axis Smart gimbal. It acts as a good sun shade and is light, but I found it totally molested my image. Everything look soft. I've been working with Snake River Prototyping to get a smaller / lighter / better...

DJI S-1000 Package for sale. 15min flight test time total. Ready to fly

Is this the one you were talking about when you said, "Has any body with the S-1000 had problems with weak and breaking bon clips. The red clips that lock the booms in place. They can break with a semi hard landing. Also if any body has spares for sale that came with the S-1000 I am a...

    DJI S-1000 Warning

Generally speaking about quality here, I'm looking for a serious gig for sure, but just as importantly I'm looking for good customer service. We had a fully speced out s1000 package all picked out - dual operator from Aerial Media Pros weeks ago, we just wanted to get an invoice to go over and...

    DJI S-1000 Warning

Hey jjon667 can you post video you were shooting when you hard landed? It would be interesting to see how hard you came down to break the pieces.

    DJI S-1000 Warning

I'm just checking in to follow the progress on this issue as it comes. I'm wondering jjon667, did you buy your s1000 direct from DJI, or do you have a dealer here in the US you went through? I'm almost ready to buy an S1000 from TroyBuilt, and I would think they could get parts quicker than...

Well this isn't near as nice as a Red can produce, but I had fun touring an organic soil company with my humble XP2 and Hero3+. It will have to do until the GH4s start shipping.

Hi Ben, Yes it's absolutely beautiful out here in the Pacific NorthWest. Just as an experiment, does my vimeo video stutter at all? I have upgraded the file to 1080p, rather than the default 720p. It may just be that my computer's graphic card can't handle the video. This is just a little GoPro...

I just watched the video again Ben and it still looks jerky to me. Maybe there is some info here that will help. http://www.kasperkamperman.com/blog/video-compression/encode-hd-video-for-vimeo-or-youtube-media-encoder-cs4/

Yes the norm is to have the shutter speed be two times the frame rate. I shoot in 60fps, so my shutter is 120 (125 on my NEX-5r). Does vimeo and youtube do pal settings of 25 or 50 fps?

Never heard the term "sticky" in my career of video editing. There definitely is some odd frame rate conversion going on here. I didn't notice it watching in the small player, but full screen I see it. Like Av8Chuck says, edit in the same frame rate as you shot in. Unless you shot in 60p, then...

Hey BK those are all some really tight shots. I'm curious if the new GH4 will weight the same as the GH3, so we dont have to wait for a GH4 specific Zemuse to be developed.

Looks good Ray! I use the Snake River Prototyping BlurFix3 Micro 52 kit. You can get them at the link in the description of this video I made demoing mine.

I'd have to see video to be sure, but you may be getting a shadow of the props hitting the lens making what I call "prop flutter". The BlurFix also helps with that because it acts as a sun shade.
