I have purchased the data link, as I know it they are using a fixed 900mhz frequency and are purchased in pairs. Hope this helps Mark

Julian Yes the SBUS connection will provide channel 5 and 6 functionality also. Channel 7 and 8 are also covered with the same one SBUS connection. Program a knob on your transmitter for channel 7 to control tilt and you are done. The camera shutter trigger is another issue. This must be...

John Could not agree more. I have had to rewrite some of the documentation that I use often (lately way points, carefree and fly on target). It has been great fun learning autonomous flight with the X6. If the X4 is even close they have a game changer. Must say you all have a great post...

All Agreed not the greatest communication. I received a YS-X4 yesterday and upon initial inspection found a new type of power harness from ZeroUAV included in the box. The new standard power harness has a 5.7v BEC built into the main power harness (in the main battery line). They are...

drjlsmit Here is how I have it configured. The SBUS receiver has one lead running from the receiver SBUS port to the AP (channel 7 port). The second IMU is then connected to the AP via the AP AETR ports (see attached). One of the ESC's has a power wire (power lead) connected to the AP...

John I am using NTSC on the NEX5, the video resolution was changed (lowered) to post to vimeo, the full resolution better. I was attempting to show the stability of the Steadi470 gimbal. The parameter settings between my YS-X6 and the Steadi470 in my case are very different. My YS-X6 FC...

Johnno Send me a PM and I will get you the parameter screens from my GSC (if you have any interest). Getting these parameter settings close to begin with will save you a couple of weeks of tweaking (and or crashes). Using the parameters as shipped, for me anyway, resulted in a multirotor...

Johnno The servo chattering was pronounced on my 470 too. I was able to get rid of it by lowering the gimbal settings in the parameters menu (PTZ roll, PTZ pitch). Suggest you start at a value of 5 and increment up from there. Ensure the gimbal is fully balanced in all attitudes before...

Zero UAV Zero UAV YS-X6 [Owners Thread] *Autopilot system for multirotors*

On the -N (newer or red light) wifi modules with password 12345678 is there a hardware reset howto anywhere? I have found the hardware reset instructions for the previous version of the wifi module (blue light or non "N") but not for the new red light or -n wifi module. Any guidance much...

Sorry to hear about your crash. Our winter is upon us here too, was only 77 (or 25 celcius this weekend :). Was able to fly and test had a great time. Getting better than 10 minutes out of some new 5850mah batteries. Was able to fly a NAZA F550, YS-X6 F550 and the Steadi470. No...

Found it. One of my frame arms was bent. This caused one motor to be out of alignment. Bent the arm, bubble level checked frame to all arms till perfect, and set motion compensation to 100. Not more tipping and flys as smooth as glass. Will post a video soon. Cannot believe I didn't...

Tried zero gyro reset (several times) also tried to recalibrate ESCs no luck. Still is VERY unstable and tries to tip over. Motion compensation and other stability parameters also have no effect. I have ESCs set to "normal". Radio type set to SBUS. I have ensured IMUs and GPS etc are...

Thank you both, really appreciate the help, I will try the zero on gyro this morning. I spent last evening double and tripple checking everything, found nothing. Will let you know if the gyro reset works. Mark

I have been flying with a YS-X6 for a while, was a steep learning curve for sure. Even though I have experience with the FC the steadi is still not working for me. I have it assembled and calibrated, it simply is so unstable that it flops over before take off. It is also not tipping over...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

I was able to attempt to test fly my steadi470 this weekend. I found a used Sony Nex5 on Amazon, and was then able to fininsh the calibration of the center IMU after the counter weights were set. I am using a 3s 5800 MAH, a video transmitter and Sony CCD camera as well as the NEX5, and did...

Calibration Completed Update I was able to calibrate my 470 last evening, no real issues but a few findings: 1) The default Gimbal IMU settings (PTZ) were way to high. Defaults were at 80 and 50. When I connected the flight battery to the system (after having just powered up the FC for...

I have used standard double sided tape for both IMU's. I have found the IMU inthe standard YS-X6 configuration works better when mounted this way. Also have seen posts where other have also recommended mounting the YS IMU this way. Mark
