I've never been really pleased with the gimbal design (AG550), as I think it lacks in rigidity. Plus some other design errors, like bearings being jammed in between washers and nuts.... I think they have corrected some of this in later versions, though. So the NEX5 seemed to be on the heavy side...

I have MKS BLS 950 with the same spec's. There's no problem with speed here Since yours are the high voltage kind, I guess they're supplied wit at least 6V?

"Forgive me for not reading back over this entire thread to check, but (using the latest firmware/software) can you stop the jitter by dialling down the gain? On a "P" only controller, the classical method of tuning would be to increase P until oscillation occurs then reduce P to half that...

No difference that I could measure. But then I can't go past 300 or it will jump off my table...
