Aeronavics / Droidworx Angle play in Skyjib X4 QR arms

well the angle variances are so little I never actually noticed any bad flight behaviour with the U5 motors before I upgraded. So are you guys realigning the motors everytime you fold and unfold the frame?

Aeronavics / Droidworx Angle play in Skyjib X4 QR arms

Kinda defies the point of a quick release system if one has to so that each time but I guess nothing is perfect

Aeronavics / Droidworx Angle play in Skyjib X4 QR arms

So you're basically saying the registration do have some play in them and the only way to get things straight is to tighten...so basically the QR system is not as QR as it seems to be.

Aeronavics / Droidworx Angle play in Skyjib X4 QR arms

oh cool...that's good to know. Yeah, so basically what I was asking if other SJ or SJ QR owners observed similar tolerance levels of the registration. I assume that do have to tighten the inner bolt of the arm to allow for the arms to fold without having to loosen the bolt every time and that...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Angle play in Skyjib X4 QR arms

Noone has a QR frame who can confirm if what I'm seeing is normal?!

Aeronavics / Droidworx Angle play in Skyjib X4 QR arms

Hey Guys, I just finished reassembling my SJX4 QR with new U7 motors. I notice there is more play now in the rotation of the arms than before(with force I can twist the arms 2-3 degrees). Is this normal? The main holes in the arms seem to be intact so it's not a wear and tear issue, it was...

Aeronavics / Droidworx U7 Motor mounts for skyjib coax

Hey guys, I got the new coax mounts from Aeronavics that are supposedly designed for the U7 motors. Unfortunately the motor sides extend about 1mm over the bolts so it's not possible to use a hex driver to hold the bolt in place to tighten. Has anyone been successful with those mounts?

Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib X4:where do you put your ESCs

Awesome...thank you all for your replies...wish I knew the DW board had a spot for the ESCs...would have been neater...I'll zip tie the ESCs on the top deck outside and slightly underneath the flight controller mounting plate

Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib X4:where do you put your ESCs

Hello Everybody, Just out of interest where are skyjib users usually installing the ESCs? I'm talking about the typical 40A+ individual ESCs and not the the integrated boards, top deck? or between the two core plates? I wonder if top placement has any effects on the GPS or IMU.

T-Motor MN4014-11 5 pairs: brand new bought by mistake

I have 5 pairs of MN4014-11 still in their sealed boxes, completely unopened. I bought them by mistake for a project I was working on. Will take some picture later on but thought I'd post this to get the ball rolling. Asking for 750USD for all 10 motors without shipping. Can throw in a couple...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Motor Suggestions for Skyjib X4 AUW 10-12KG

I have the new Titanium X4, core plate thickness is 1.5mm, booms are 1mm. What are your specs? Also interested to know your AUW.

    Aeronavics / Droidworx MN4014-11's

Thanks cbuk...yes I will be flying with retracts but not the DW ones...too expensive and heavy in my opinion, so I built pretty good ones from 25mm CF tubes, total weight is 650 grams and if I break them it costs 10usd to change the tubes rather than 250 for a new set of legs....also tubes are...

    Aeronavics / Droidworx MN4014-11's

Thanks for the reply Pete and cbuk. Seems like you guys are carrying 700g camera payload or less if I'm not mistaken? What throttle ranges are we talking about here for hovering. For a similar setup at around 9.5KG setup it's telling me it will hover at around 60-64% with 16" props. cbuk, your...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Motor Suggestions for Skyjib X4 AUW 10-12KG

Yes absolutely...thanks so much for the advise. I through that the SJX4 with the crash cage does well...that's the only reason I bought the cage. Or I can probably double on the core CF plates somehow to increase the overall rigidity. I saw you guys lifting 20KG on KW10s with SJ setup, seemed...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Motor Suggestions for Skyjib X4 AUW 10-12KG

Hello, I'm completing my second build for a SJX4 and I realized that the motors I bought(MN4014-11) are too underpowered for the AUW I'm planning to fly. Here's the break down: Component Weight(grams) Core + arms + quick release 1065 Crash Cage 224 X4 Engine Mounts 350...

    Aeronavics / Droidworx MN4014-11's

Hello, I'm trying to see if I can get more lift out of my 4014-11s on my skyjib X4. Their low Kv is the issue with the T-Motor 15X5 CF props. Has anyone tried using them with 16 or even 18 inch props?
