4 Mini OSD's and none of them work!!

I triple checked the harness. Been doing electronics all my life (I'm 58) (design too). I don't believe DJI even tested them or looked at them at the factory. It took three months and after I complained twice and then mentioned a youtube video, it was returned the next day. One new one...

4 Mini OSD's and none of them work!!

I can't believe this. No one will help! Not only that, a post on DJI's forum was just deleted with no replies. Isn't anyone using a DJI Mini OSD successfully?

4 Mini OSD's and none of them work!!

So, I have a Naza V2 flight controller and I bought a Mini OSD controller. I hooked it all up and there was no output of OSD data. So I did an RMA but to save time I bought another one. Guess what, same thing! So I sent it back, and DJI returned after 3 months, both of them under warantee...

ESC bullet connectors separating from circuit board

Well I just received ZTW Spiders from HobbyKing and though they look similar, the wires are soldered in a much more durable way. I can't see these coming off. Only issue being I will need to solder the wires. No problem. After two crashes, reliability comes first!

ESC bullet connectors separating from circuit board

Well these are ZTW Spiders! They are _supposed_ to be top notch. Unless Range Video has lied...

ESC bullet connectors separating from circuit board

Ok, I have uploaded two photos: They show how the connector is still attached to a piece of circuit board. And a perfect square of the circuit board has lifted of while still connected to the bullet. Not only that, the board is not a solid circuit board. It looks like it is perforated board...

ESC bullet connectors separating from circuit board

Has anyone seen this? I have the range video 40A opto esc's (they are xztw spider esc's that use bullet connectors) and I have had issues with the bullet connectors separating from the circuit board. Its as if the circuit board is multilayer, but 1/2 the thickness of the board just comes apart...

Two new mini-OSD and BOTH don't work

Ok, How difficult can this be? You have video in, and video out. First my electronics experience....my last big trouble shooting exercise was board level troubleshooting using a scope and schematic on a 20 vacuum tube amateur radio transceiver to locate two failed ceramic capacitors....so I...

    Naza gains seem useless?

Thanks for that. However, I though the wobble came about from gains that are too high? Tom

    Crash analysis help please

Hi Are you sure it would not have any influence beyond that? Yesterday I replaced the broken pieces and them recalibrated the esc in question, and redid solder connections on it. I then ran two full speed tests, with the copter bolted down and then today had two successful 15 minute flights...

    Crash analysis help please

Not quite. If I connect that motor to a different esc on the copter, it spins perfectly fine. Lots of torque and I can't stop it. I'm thinking now the esc that is giving problems was not calibrated correctly.

    Crash analysis help please

Ok, Everything has been going just fine with my quad in testing and shorter flights. However yesterday, I added my gimbal, and went for a real flight. Everything worked well, I tested failsafe, came back to home position perfectly. I sent it on it's way again and all was doing fine then all...

    Naza gains seem useless?

Hi I don't seem to be able to make any sense out of the naza gains. There are two sets of gains. The general, and the atti. I have yet to see an explanation about the difference. Why two sets? Which do you do first? What do you do if there is a wobble at default gain settings? Try as I may, I...

    Quad does not always arm...

Well, this might be solved! Yesterday during my limited flight testing I hit a branch of a tree. This caused 2 leads of the three lead wire going to one ESC to come off. However, when I looked at the leads, the sockets themselves were actually ripped off, and instead of just seeing the remnants...

    Quad does not always arm...

    Yes they do!

    Quad does not always arm...

Yes, confirmed several times. Even when it fails to arm, I can connect up the computer and everything is exactly like it should be. Anyhow, I decided to take it out in my backyard and try it out in ATTI mode. Wow, really, really stable compared to openpilot. Works beautiful, just has a little...

    Quad does not always arm...

OK, I redid the Esc calibration using the throttle channel. Now I notice that the motor response to the throttle seems much more linear and the lowest throttle setting is much better than before. However, the, quad doesn't always arm. I turn the transmitter on, then power up the quad. The...
