    Shotover U1

As press releases are out and first real pictures are too I wonder what you guys think about the usage of A2 / Pixhawk controllers on such a pricy machine (price not released yet but sure it will not be inexpensive). Also the usage of standard RC lipo technology is something I did not think...

    Shotover U1

true ;) I´ve seen the U1 roll bar, it´s huge. I am sure they are aiming for a setup like the Alura 18-80 or the Angenieux 17-80 for their payload. We fly an Angenieux DP 16-40 in our M15 and it´s very nice. Hopefully it fits the U1 gimbal. However a big system in the 25kg range will be kind of...

    Shotover U1

We´re planning on the U1 too, however what we´ve heard it´s going to be 100.000k +++ price range for the rig. But if they manage to implement full and proper redundancy (isolated and intelligent battery system, proper flightcontrollers), shotover gimbal quality (heard it´s a 3 axis not 6 axis...

    Shotover U1

There is not a lot of info around yet but this is probably the most interesting (and probably most expansive) drone project I´ve seen. Shotover builds the most decent helicopter gimbals out there, so I am looking forward to see their approach on a multirotor. http://www.shotover.com/u1

    Airborne Mechatronics - Heavylift KX-8

The footprint is very small, so it seems like the gimbal could be exactly in the downwash of the props. That´s why I am asking. We´re flying a bit a larger x8 to avoid that.

    Airborne Mechatronics - Heavylift KX-8

Looks nice. No problems with the air from the props blowing at the gimbal?

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

Sure it´s probably not the same motor but it looks kind of the same. Also it could fly an 13600g payload according to eclac.

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

Looks like the Alta uses this motor with some mods: Cobra CM-4510/28 Seems to be nothing too special. Anyone more detailed infos? Greetings.

    SynDrones X8 Heavy Lift Build

Is anybody flying the MK electronics with the MK ESC? I was testing the Double Quadro XL esc from them. I see the Birdseye copter is using Herkules ESCs. Steve are you flying MK ESCs? Maybe the problems come from the ESC. On our ESC one board had a broken shunt initially when shipped but was...

    SynDrones X8 Heavy Lift Build

Hi, thanks for your answers.! Funny we never were able to fly the MK electronics with success. First I was quite worried with the A2 as initial tests showed it had an error with loosing satellites in GPS mode after hard stops etc. and I preferred the Wookong M for a long time. On the new rig...

    SynDrones X8 Heavy Lift Build

Hi Josh, Thanks for your infos on you heavy X8. I am curious. How happy are you with the MK 2.5 setup? I built a setup for testing it (FC 2.5, MK Powerboard XL COOL, all fully redundant, 16kg) but it´s flying characteristics were just terrible and completely useless, no matter how I set up the...

    12v for a BMPCC

Sounds like a nice idea but I think there is no 12V available in the cabling of the Zenmuse BMPCC. You could wire externally and get 12V from the copter. Should not be too hard. In winter we are getting one single flight out of a BMPCC battery. When it´s cold the camera dies at around 50%...
