How are altitude limits sensed by the DJI Naza hardware?

Do you have a reference document for the Naza for the use of inertia for rth? From what I see the GPS is more accurate than 10 meters but suffers from update rate. I think an example of the concept are vehicles. The GPS signal will be lost inside of a tunnel but approximate position will be...

Wookong M GPS Mode - Fair Warning

Sochin33 - I believe that many of the problems blamed on the flight controllers could actually be incorrect failsafe settings especially since few understand the failsafes that many receivers get set without the knowledge of the users. The DX9 has three the described one is the preset. For...

Wookong M GPS Mode - Fair Warning

Sochin33 - just be clear there is a 3 second window where the flight controller could respond to the loss of communication by going crazy if the sticks are not neutral as set during binding. After that it should enter into a hover for 15 seconds where you can stop the RTH. After the 15 seconds...

Wookong M GPS Mode - Fair Warning

Sochin33 - I think you and I are on the same page, that is the failsafe for the DX9 procedure for the receiver. In my case it also sends a RTH command to the flight controller but you could omit that. The Naza and I believe the Wookong failsafe is based on not seeing a change in receiver output...

Highest frame rate in a small camera packet.

Holder - as a reference for weight I have a Gopro 3+. Weight of camera and Gimbal is 312 grams using a quick connect mount (for rails) and 2 inch aluminum stand offs. I do mostly stills so my concern with a camera upgrade is a lightweight camera that will store photos in raw format.

    FPV with Camera Control

Diesel twitch - to keep power consumption and weight down I would keep the copter simple and use a very low power transmitter on the ground to provide the second monitor with its input unless you intend to use separate cameras on the copter. A lot depends on the purpose of the cameras such as...

setting for the GPS of A2 plus s1000

One thing I don't buy is magnetic declination. Consider that would mean your copter would be affected by takeoff location and you would need to place it on the ground using a calibrated compass. It simply needs to know which way it is pointing for 0 reference, not actual compass direction. If...

Wookong M GPS Mode - Fair Warning

sochin33 - the altitude you mention is above ground effect but just the right height for dirty air from building, trees, and other objects, I fly kites and you see this frequently even fairly far from the object. That may not be your case or it may be. Something I often encounter are those mini...

Wookong M GPS Mode - Fair Warning

laurents, don't confuse the flight controller failsafe with a possible receiver failsafe, they are completely different. When the controller enters failsafe then it should simply follow DJI ' program for the type it is on. When a receiver goes into failsafe due for example loss of communication...

sochin33, at what altitude and control mode?

Wookong M GPS Mode - Fair Warning

Laurent are you sure it may not have entered into either the flight controller failsafe due to a sensed receiver issue by the flight controller or the receiver's own failsafe. Both of these are separate from a manually initiated RTH.

How are altitude limits sensed by the DJI Naza hardware?

I also believe altitude is based on the altimeter based on an external altimeter and gps telemetry. Max altitude in my experience can vary by about 20 feet at 400 due to temperature, wind and so on. It also appears to be influenced as expected by canopy being in place. I find I can reach a...

f450 naza m lite with gps question

Definitely set the gps correctly as far as offset. Also when comes to alignment dead center is a good start but do move it based on observation. On mine it is just off center using an X configuration. On my 550 using an I configuration it ended up right of center halfway between the arms.

Wookong M GPS Mode - Fair Warning

Another real possibility is rf flood. While modern receivers are good at rejection they still can be flooded by a strong signal that prohibits processing of that from the transmitter. One needs to remember that you may have the failsafe setup correctly for the flight controller but not for the...
