the weird thing is, they were blowing down, but they were turned around, so the sharp part of the blade was trying to create lift which is impossible because the low pressure zone is underneath the wing instead of ontop, but because it's spinning so fast, the mere shape of it caused enough lift...

no one told me the props are supposed to be facing font up. lol i flipped it, it flies, now need to reset all the settings that i've messed up in the TX

I think it's all in the tx. Tried again, full throttle full blast instant and still nothing. Gonna recalibrate the ESCs, the tx, and mess with the settings some more in the software

And when does that start to kick in? The lowest i can go for the second stage protection (it starts to descend) is 10.5 V no load and 9.5 loaded, but idk what the loss actually means so the loaded could be lower i guess. same goes for the first stage, have it at 11.5 unloaded 10.5 loaded.

i guess i'll just play with all the settings and try a quick launch outside. also what do you have the low voltage protection at? i have no idea how to set that up.

i've never flown a quad before so is there some way to do it that i'm not sure of? i was raising the throttle slowly and i've been seeing a lot of people on forums to quickly raise the throttle to about 50-60% then bring it back down to about 45-50% to let it hover. also, having the drone higher...

still won't go up, could my battery be too weak? it's a 2100mah 20c 11.1v venom battery

now gain settings are the next question. everything is set at 100 right now and only full throttle gets it off the ground. DJI recommends 130 all around except for yaw and throttle, yaw at 100 and throttle at 105-110 for an F450 frame. is that normal? why does it take so much to get it off the...

it's not rotating! thank you so much everyone! i'm so excited to finally get this flying! i'll post footage this weekend. i'm gonna work up a custom little mount for my action cam for now since i don't have a gimbal.

ok i got it, switched 2 wires on one of the motors and it's spinning the other way now. thanks guys! hopefully i'll get it flying tomorrow. it's dark now so can't go test it out and not comfortable indoors yet lol

mine are all the same color and size? there's 3 blue ones coming off the ESC and the motor has a red, yellow, and red wire.

in the manual it says switch any of two wire connections to switch the direction of the motor, what two wire connections lol? switch the ground and power on the plug that is connected to the naza?

when i angle the two props differently, the motors still spin the same direction and create downforce? how do i change the rotation of the motors themselves?

uugghhh i don't get it!!! whatever, i'm off to bed, another day for this.

i checked the rotation of the props and i had the props on backwards. but this is how they were last time and they were producing downforce rather than lift. should 2 of the motors be blowing air upwards instead of down while the drone is on the ground? maybe once i try to fly it, it will lessen...

if the propellers were on wrong, wouldn't they be blowing the wrong direction and blowing air upwards? (which they're not) are you saying the motor positions? like plugging the wrong motors into the wrong ports? i'm pretty sure they're right. it's pretty simple on DJI they form an X pattern...

ok so i got the Naza M lite, set it up, motors everything arms and it starts to hover but right away i notice it starts to spin. i don't have a GPS module, it's just the naza alone with no GPS so it can't be the compass being out of wack so wat do i do? there's no other adjustments i can make...

That is a great overview, thank you very much for that. I'll just dish out the extra cash and get a naza lite then. Thanks again.
