Haven't updated this thread for a while, had finally time to test APM:Copter 3.3 rc8 and Autotune, the quad performs really well after Autotune.

Nice quad :) I'm still using SimonK ESCs and they work well so I will continue using them.

My quad is flying again, hoped to make another Autotune test but it was to windy today. Made a short test flight and tested also the new Lost Copter Alarm added to RC3 Was a little bit more to fix than I first thought http://www.maciej.se/F450new.html#Fixed

Just got a reply from one of the developers and it doesn't have to be in althold anymore. Will do a new test later today if it doesn't rain.

My problem was user error. Wasn't in AltHold when I engaged AutoTune.

APM:Copter 3.3-RC3 is out now. There were some problems with Autotune in RC1 so I did a new Autotune, didn't really work as I hoped ;)

Hope to be able to find a proper mount for the gimbal soon so I can continue testing.

Got my retracts and have attached them temporarily, they retract as they should but I'll have to modify them since they bend to easy. www.maciej.se/F450new.html#leg

I hope the retractable legs arrive soon so I can start testing the new functions to retract them implemented in APM:Copter 3.3

Got a reply from the APM:Copter developers about the Autotune "The release went out with AUTOTUNE_AGGR set to 0.05. This tends to be a little sensitive, the default should be 0.1." http://www.maciej.se/F450new.html#dev

Yes you can relocate your multicopter without canceling the autotune.

Haven't had time to to any more tests with my Tarot and managed short the other board so I'm waiting for a new to arrive so I can contineu to test on a smaller gimbal/quad.

I find it much easier to tune.

Had a problem on my second flight, one of the motors continued to spin after disarm, managed to solve it after some googling. www.maciej.se/F450new.html#spin

Currently I'm happy with sll the components. I will test to flash the ESCs with BLheli fw though. There will be more videos. Going to London on vacation for a couple of days but will fly again as soon as I'm back in Sweden.
