MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Multiwii 328p Thottle problem!!

So all in all, my quad is flying okay. The only thing is the controls seem to be incredibly touchy. The slightest roll or pitch and the thing is gone. Is this normal? Anyway to make this a softer transition for a beginner pilot like myself?

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Multiwii 328p Thottle problem!!

So I finally was able to get mine flying without problems. Well besides my horrible piloting skills. I just reflashed all of my ESC's and eeprom cleared the FC twice and reloaded the firmware. Took it outside and it seemed to fly great!

    DIY Frame/iPhone Mount---First Build

So I am coming close to finishing up this build. It came out to be a lot more work than I anticipated but hey, its all fun. Here are a few pictures of the build to this point. I don't have the iPhone mount and landing arms on at this point just due to the fact that I have never flow a quad and...

    My First Build

Just a word of warning on those hobbyking D2830's; the presoldered connections sometimes arent the greatest. I have had issues with faulty connections, which becomes very evident the first time you attempt to spool them up. Its an easy fix to just resolder them, but thought I'd give you the...

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Multiwii Crius V2.5 Flashing Blue Light

I know this may sound dumb, but did you make sure to uncomment everything you needed to in the config.h location of the code? Also, before you uploaded the new code did you do an eeprom clear to wipe the board?

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Multiwii 328p Thottle problem!!

Hey guys, I am using a Multiwii 328p FC that I picked up from hobbyking. I installed the multiwii 2.3 firmware on it and uncommented what I needed to. After calibrating the ACC and MAG on the GUI, I still have problems. 1) The motors do not seem to power up evenly, and the quad ends up...

    DIY Frame/iPhone Mount---First Build

They are made via a rapid prototyping system called a Selective Laser Sintering. Its a much faster process and generally more accurate in terms of low tolerances and what not. We have one at our university that we luckily have access to.

    Shortening ESC wires?

I need to shorten up the wires on my ESC's but I wasn't sure which ones I should shorten. I think I remember hearing somewhere that its okay to shorten the wires going from the ESC to the motor but to not touch the ones going to the power source. Is this true??

    DIY Frame/iPhone Mount---First Build

Haha, I guess ill just have to do it and see what happens. The arms themselves are 175mm, but the distance from motor to adjacent motor is 300mm. I wanted them to house the ESC's so I needed to make them hollow, but wanted to keep them fairly rigid so I shortened them. Hopefully works okay.

Here are some photos of the prototyped parts, back from the rapid prototyper. I used nylon screws to just make sure everything lined up correctly.

    Hello from Louisville!

Hey guys, Just started getting into multi-rotors not too long ago, after a project I had to do for a class. DIY Frame/iPhone Mount---First Build

Hey guys, I am new to this forum and new to the multirotor community in general. Anyways, I thought I would share a frame design I came up with (nothing advanced by any means) that can hold my iPhone to take aerial video. I am sure there are plenty of these designs out there but I thought I...
