Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib 8 + Movi+ Toad in the Hole

I've been following this thread... and decided to go with the droidworx extended retracts instead of the MR kit. With the Movi adaptor plate from DW as well, the M5 bolts right on. It's a heavy setup (now 10KG) but should be worth it.

Aeronavics / Droidworx New Build Planned - SkyJib-X4 Heavy Retractable

Thanks guys. Looks like new motors have made it on to the shopping list. I'm not happy that DW recommended the 4014-11's in the first place, even with the AV200/5D (9.5 AUW) they would have been working mighty hard. Having said that, this setup was getting 12 minutes flight with no heat to speak...

Aeronavics / Droidworx New Build Planned - SkyJib-X4 Heavy Retractable

I have a question for the guys here with a Skyjib X4... I'm flying a SJX4 (T- Motor 4014/11, 15x5 Tiger props, 40A ESC, A2) I started out with the Av200 carrying a 5D, and am looking to upgrade to the movi M5. The droidworx website says the max payload for that setup is 2.5 Kg. If I go for a...

    Waypoint flying for Phantom Vision

I just saw that DJI are working on a ground station app for the Phantom 2 Vision. Is it just me, or are their consumer products getting way too powerful for their own good? I really shudder to think of what accidents are going to happen with this autonomous flying in the hands of every second...

    iPad Ground Station Issues

Jwk72, have you tried using your iPad closer to the BTU? The app tells you the BT & 2.4ghz signal strength so you should be able tell which one is the problem. Also about going to strait to your last waypoint, you need to set the first waypoint as no1 with the double arrow marker. Hope you...

    iPad Ground Station Issues

I did my first test with the ipad GS and ios7 a few days ago, S800 EV0 Wookong. It seemed to work really well. It really is a scary thing, having 5 grand up in the air flying itself!

DJI Photogrammetry - anyone help me get it to work?

I'm having a lot of luck using an intervalometer rather than DJI triggered photos (couldn't be bothered trying to get that going!). On my S800 EVO I'm using a Canon 6D with GP-E2 for geotagging images, shooting every 2 seconds. point cloud 3D models and orthomosaics are coming out great in...

New EVO on the bench, observations

I finally have my S800 EVO after waiting 3 months! Crazy. Anyway, it all looks like good gear. Props seem a bit flimsy but I guess they'll do the trick. I haven't done any work on it yet, but one thing I've noticed looks really odd. The motors sit on a funny angle from the arms. There are...

Hey All having an interesting issue with my Octocopter... Wanted to see what the pros

Ordered smaller props but got sick of waiting for them to turn up. So I added weight - 1.5 kgs. Bam! the thing flies 100% better! There was no wind, but the Cinestar seemed really stable. I figure the CS6 with its 14x4.7 props is NOT designed to fly without a camera! Will be interesting to see...

Hey All having an interesting issue with my Octocopter... Wanted to see what the pros

3dheliguy.... I'm having the same problem here on my Cinestar6. Gains too high, it rocks itself into a crash, then gains lower, something just feels wrong. Using APC slow fly 14X4.7. I've got a battery mounted on top, no camera in the gimbal. Did you end up adding some weight, and did that help?

First Cinestar+Wookong Flight... but not there yet!

Hi Everyone. Thanks to the huge help found here, I finally flew my CS6 for the first time today. It's great to have taken off for the first time - but then a bit frustrating to realize that I'm a long way from 'stable'! Currently ESC's are Turnigy Trust 40a. In the clip, you'll notice...

    M1 port doesn't work!

Thanks Boris. Using Turnigy Trust 40A ESCs. The other 5 seem to work great, which is why I think the ESCs are fine maybe. Even had all the props on, spun it up and tested in the 3 flight modes (without flying of course) Just heard back from Robert and he's going to warranty replace my MC which...

    M1 port doesn't work!

I've had as much bad luck as I think is ever possible with my Wookong! Firstly, I got a unit with a faulty PMU - so I sent it back to Robert and got this replaced (3 or 4 months later). Now I've finally finished the build and setup the WKM to find out that M1 doesn't send any signal to the...

Wookong turned my computer off! Faulty?

Thanks for the reply Robert. I've completely removed the PMU and powered the MC using RX power. Still same response and no USB connection... Thanks for your help every one. Will email Robert tomorrow. I might get flying somewhere in the next 10 years :-/
