    AIMDROIX Aluminum Arms

Yes the machining quality is top-notch. I'm selling a bunch of unused parts and due to job and family commitments. Not enough time for flying these days.

DJI North America - customer support?

I think I should post a quick conclusion to this thread. I was able to talk to some people from DJI in person at the NAB show in Las Vegas. One of their product reps, probably from the Chinese headquarters just gave me the typical company line and redirected me to the US phone support. I went...

    RAW Video Explained

This is probably one of the most important things to know about capital R raw and little r raw. I've got contacts at most of the major camera manufacturers. Their reps and engineers will never describe how the in camera signal is captured into the storage medium. Data rate comparisons are...

    Good beginner LiPo charger.

I'll second the iCharger 106b. If I were to start over from scratch, I'd skip over spending any money on a charger with a built in power supply and go straight to a DC charger with external power supply. The only time that an AC charger was handy for me is while traveling. I took several...

Batteries....where are you getting them for a good price/fast shipping???

I'm running Glacier LiPos for my TBS and also have several batteries from ReadyMadeRC. Both vendors ship quickly and we all know they'll back their product if you have issues.

DJI North America - customer support?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had information about what is happening with the offices of DJI North America? At the end of September 2013, one of my producers had rough landing with a Phantom and H3-2D attached. The Phantom faired very well considering it took a 35ft tumble with only one...

My First Build - TBS Disco?

Personally I also think the TBS motors and ESC package is a bit high in price. I'm building up a Disco Pro myself and purchased the Luminier branded 2216 900kv form GetFPV. Those motors will be combined with 30a SimonK ESCs from BuddyRC. In total I spent about $190 for the combo.

    H3-2D -vs- All The Rest

Yup, if this is your first stabilizer gimbal, H3-2D will work well with the Phantom. In order to upgrade you can: a. Buy the updated power distribution board which will require you to do some soldering. b. Buy the PMUv2 module and connect the gimbal control via CAN-Bus. With this route...

    H3-2D -vs- All The Rest

Cable clutter is is a good reason that an after market gimbal might not be preferred on a small multi like a Phantom. I'm running a 3-axis on my f550 with all custom length cables and servo connects which makes things a lot cleaner.

Please critique my F450 build...any gotchas before I start ordering final parts?

Yup, the iCharger is the way to go, because farther down the RC addiction you'll want to be able to test internal resistance of your batteries. I'd still recommend the DuBro balancer. The top flite balancer has so-so build quality and personally I've had mixed results with that unit.
