Zero UAV ZeroUAV YS-X4 Owners Thread

I always like to separate the power to the Auto Pilot and RX from the ESC's and the motors, mainly for safety. I can work on the Auto Pilot without having any chance of motors starting up. Not that this will ever happen with this system, and its a hang over form previous suspect FC's, but its...

Zero UAV ZeroUAV YS-X4 Owners Thread

Remove all the red wires as the system has its own power supply. It is not clear in the manual, but it has been discussed on many forums. Have a look here http://multirotor.co.za/?page_id=1725

Zero UAV Beginner debating on what UAV to buy. Expert's suggestion?

How can you just come out and make a statement like that. At least have the decency to back up your statements with some facts, so maybe we can respond.

Allowing complete novices to fly a QuadCopter...

The ZeroUAV systems (YS-X4 and YS-X6) and the DJI Wookong-M allow you to set a max height and max distance from take off point. It is like hitting a wall. The multirotor just stops and will not go past that point. So, I would say go for the YS-X4 as it is the cheapest option that can give you...

Zero UAV ZeroUAV YS-X4 Owners Thread

Hi Chris I always fly in Manual or Autohover mode. In fact lately I only fly in Autohover mode....I now recommend that to all my customers. I also keep the wifi module as far away as possible from the MC, located on the arm or the landing gear. I found right in the beginning if you fly hard, in...

Zero UAV Zero UAV YS-X6 [Owners Thread] *Autopilot system for multirotors*

I posted the method on the RCgroups post that you made. I suggest that you somehow separate the connection to the ESC/Motors and obviously you must always remove the props when calibrating the ESC's

Zero UAV ZeroUAV YS-X4 Owners Thread

I had feedback from Zero-UAV. It seem that things got lost in translation somewhere and somehow. What the YS-X4 Navigator has is 8 waypoints to be used within a range of 500m from home or 1000m diameter. There is unlimited distance for flying in manual mode.

No I have not got confirmation yet from ZeroUAV. It is something that I still need to take up with them, and until that stage, I cannot sell something that is not delivering until this is cleared up. In fact I am going to send an email to them right now. EDIT: Sent You will notice that I also...

Zero UAV ZeroUAV YS-X4 Owners Thread

You can understand the reason why they automatically hard lock the home position, which is the take off position, because all the waypoints use that as a reference. If you could change the home position to where ever you wanted it you will have endless distance for flying waypoints. There is no...

I think the limit is 500m from your home position. richierich....I would try and answer you, but I have never flown a DJI system, so I actually do not know what this function does. The Home position is the point that you take off from "Autopilot will set the returning home position...
