Current feeling on U7 and equivalent KDE?

I had emailed back and forth with KDE asking about how they did their testing. they use a power supply that is always maintaining 25v. so no matter what load you put on the motor the powersupply will feed 25v. unfortuneatly our batteries do not do the same and usually drop a 1.5v or so just in...

Current feeling on U7 and equivalent KDE?

i have used both the U7 420 Kv motors with T80amp esc and the KDE 5215 435kv motors and 55amp kde esc(at the time that was the recommended esc). we have ran both 17" and 18" props on our t-motor setup and had great results. the rig AUW was around 33lbs with a movi and red. we ran 2 6s 10,000...

    Any one flying Xfold frames

im flying his frame with Upower u7 420 kv motors, 17" props, wookong and 2 6s,10,000mah packs carrying a red dragon. we didnt use his stock dampering system that he designed but it seems like it would have worked fine. the frame is over all quite stiff and flies really smooth. at the time we...

Kde 4215-465 bench test. Shocked by results.

We have the 5215 motors with the 55 amp esc's swinging 16" apc props. testing in a warehouse that was 25° F we saw ESC temps up to 200°. this is way to hot considering we have a setup with Upower U7 420kv motors and 80 amp esc combo that never gets warm. They have responded in an email stating...

    U-power U7 420kv motors with T-motor T80A 400hz compatibility

we eneded up running longer bolts and put nuts behind it and got rid of the thumb screw part and just use a driver to tighten it up. other then that we have not had any problems. chased down some small vibrations but that is about it. other then that the machine has been flying well.

a Safe Reliable FLight control system for a heavy lifter

Kloner, what is it you like about the SuperX compared to other FLight control systems you have used in the past. im not big on the minimalist setup it has, i just feel like something is missing after i finished programming it. also could never get it to lock onto GPS, which is most like a part...

Zero UAV zero UAV Gemini and KDE ESC's compatibility

i have been looking into the gemini for our Gryphon X8 carrying the red. we have some KDE 55 amp esc's and 5215xf 435 motors. i wanted to know if anyone had any experience with this combo. i know people have mentioned communication issues with some other brand esc's and i was hoping the KDE...

a Safe Reliable FLight control system for a heavy lifter

after some time in this industry i have worked the Wookong M, Naza H, A2, SuperX. of all of them ive had the best luck with the wookong. have not played with the superX enough to give it a fair judgement but ive heard it has some communication issues with KDE ESC's that we are trying to use. im...

Hello! so recently we put together a gryphon X8 1000mm non foldable frame to carry our Red epic and we have been having a reoccurring issue. setup: Gryphon X8 1000mm non foldable DJI A2 U-power u7 420 kv motors T-motor t80a esc T-motor 17x5.8 props Gryphon PDB pulse 6s 10,000 mah batteries...

    U-power U7 420kv motors with T-motor T80A 400hz compatibility

we have about 20 flights on our setup and have had good luck so far. we came across one incident though where we believe our vibration plate started to come loose and slid back on the rails causing a big offset in balance making the A2 freak out. we got it back on the ground but it barely tipped...

Heavy lift rig for Red Epic

i appreciate you looking out :), we as well dont need to have our red drop out of the sky... all we can do is to keep testing until we feel confident. i will probably end up ordering new bearings in the next few days and just replace them so i dont have to worry about it down the road.

Heavy lift rig for Red Epic

i guess i should describe the funny noise a little better.. its incredibly faint but i am also extremely picky. also as far as the bad bearing, it just wasnt perfect and you could hear a difference in how smooth it was compared to the others. for our next setup we will probably try the new KDE...

Heavy lift rig for Red Epic

we were able to do a decent amount of testing and put some flights on our gryphon with carrying about 16 lbs of weight. so far the motors or speed controls have not shown any sign of going out of sync or wanting to shut down. the only thing i was concerned about was a couple of the speed...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib 8 + Movi+ Toad in the Hole

im assuming when you use the landing gear you simply need to keep the movi pointed forward or it will hit the legs. also, what motors are you using to lift the movi? right now we are using AMP epic 500kv motors and want a little more power but it seems the Upowers have issues fitting.

Heavy lift rig for Red Epic

We are also planning on running retractable landing gear, i have been hearing good things about the RC timer landing gear ( http://www.rctimer.com/product_1086.html ) however it is designed around mounting to a 25mm boom. the DJI landing gear i know mounts up to the gryphon but the movi will not...

Heavy lift rig for Red Epic

yea i have heard good things about the KDE motor setup. the Upowers seem to be pretty popular at the moment. i think we are going to keep this motor setup but our next rig we will try something different. im not afraid to tear apart motors and put some better bearings in the future. but i do...

Heavy lift rig for Red Epic

i am in the market for an X8 airframe and have been trying to weigh my options out the past few weeks to see what airframe will best suite our needs. right now we are flying a movi with a canon 5D on our Skyjib 8. it has been doing pretty well but we want to move to an X8 platform when we carry...
