    XAircraft what is that smell

On the same subject, I would stay away from buying used furniture from anyone who eats curry!

    XAircraft what is that smell

Ok, I'm going to answer this and you have to know I am not joking.... I was told that most products in China use this fish based preservative oil for international shipping. Every piece of machinery I have bought from China has that smell to it. And oddly, now that you mention it, I remember...

Anyone here using a PhotoShip One gimbal mount for F550?

I havent used those but if the LG is made from that super flexible plastic, like the Xaircraft ones, stay away from them. They will amplify any vibrations you have and will vibrate with wind or fast flying. Other than that they look fine. the balancing aspect of it is nice.

Am I dumb for wanting a Cinestar 6?

Denny, does prop flicker still occur even with a y6 or xy8? I doubt it since I never see props. To throw it out there I have a y6 and folding quad ARF if you are interested. I'll make you a deal you can't possibly come close to and it's all tried and true with very low hours.

Am I dumb for wanting a Cinestar 6?

I think if you are going to buy anything bigger you should get an octo. There is really no reason to not have 8 motors when flying larger cameras/gimbals. Even if you are only flying a nex5n it is nice knowing you have the extra their for power and redundancy. I will say though, I am leaning...

Prop choice - APC or change to Xoar (or any other rigid props)

My personal experience with XOARS is that they take too much balancing since the hubs are large and a natural product. APC thins are great as they are rigid and come in many sizes but they too need hub balancing. I have consistently got the best results from simple APC SF's. I use the...

Take free flying lessons from this guy!

    1. you just dont fly a naza with an expensive large multi. 2. if he was in manual how was he able to keep it under control when taking off? 3. The guy never exuded confidence from the beginning and I'm pretty sure he was just another dope who went out and spent $7500 on gear, called it $15k to...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Coaxial X4 problem

the nomenclature of multi's is pretty straight forward. X is the configuration of arms. 4 is the # of motors. To be considered a coaxial heli, you would need a motor top and bottom on each arm. That would be an Y6,X8,XY8 or X12 until someone decided to go further.

    Blackmagic Pocket Cinema

yeah, I'm pretty sure the Gh4 will be the next camera I buy. I'll happily wait for it. 240 fps @ ???? Man I hope it is at least HD. The rest of the specs are just awesome.

    Blackmagic Pocket Cinema

The 5d has no business in the air IMO. It's a name people associate with being professional. You spend more, you have WAY more weight, it's still H.264, the large sensor does nothing for aerial video other than maybe make it harder to focus with a fast lens, no 1080/60p, etc. Get a Gh3 or...

Is there a single RC Joystick for 360 gimbal?

I dont know if you saw my post on making a better cam op ground station but this was at the heart of it. Unfortunately one of the things you will sacrifice with a cheap radio is the ability to adjust expo which is REALLY helpful for smooth cam operation IMHO. I would take the pots out of your...

Must be this guys fault as a ton of quad videos started popping up of santa monica after that. People have no creativity. steve, next time just fly fpv from a few miles away, they'll never know where it came from. You need a white news van so you can convert the telescopic antenna into an...

What's the besr battery charger for a F450?

One thing i wish i had on mine is a readout for internal resistance. This will help you determine when your lipos are not holding charge as well and are ready to swap for new ones. Most decent chargers should have this. I opted to buy the sky charger b6ac and it is great although it lacks the...

    Hoverfly Something Big?

I was gonna say, trying to sell a hoversport in this day and age is like trying to promote a black and white Zenith television. That board has zero features other than smooth manual. It was a handful in FPV, I dont know how Juz does it! Of course not having OSD didnt help either.
