    x8 650 vs 720 vs 850

The way that they have it in that video is the only reasonable solution imo.

1100mm hex build. Hexacrafter, T-Motor, A2. Oh my.

I'm 90% decided on the H14. Just doing more payload tests as we speak.

    x8 650 vs 720 vs 850

I definitely think shortening the frame will effect stability. It's just physics. How much is unknown.

    x8 650 vs 720 vs 850

Your explanation is somewhat confusing. For me anyway. Lol. When the legs are retracted you don't want them sticking out any further that the tip of the prop swings?

    Phantom 3 now on Amazon

You don't need 4k but it is sure nice to be able to crop a chunk of the image and still have 1080. Cheers.

1100mm hex build. Hexacrafter, T-Motor, A2. Oh my.

The weather has not been cooperating for test flights. I have about 2 hours on it without a payload and it's been flawless. Today I strapped 4kg load on it for a total of 12.5 kg. I am getting 12 minutes of mixed flight with 16" props. Very stable even know the winds were bad. It barely...

    Home fence

Very little info on this I'm the a2 manual. If you are using home fence, how do you land in the take off point? What about a rth?

    What tach do you use?

I just borrowed a buddies. It's a $60 model from princess auto which is Canada's version of harbor freight. It did the trick. I needed to use reflective stickers. Not ideal but I'll try making a line with a silver sharpee to see if that works.

    What tach do you use?

I all of a sudden care about price. Lol. $300 wow

    What tach do you use?

I have been thru a scenario where a tachometer would make a welcome addition to my multirotor tool kit. Hobby king has a couple. This one, which is good to 4200 RPM's on helis or 20k RPM's on planes. I'm not understanding why it works on helis up to 4200 and planes to 20k...

    Phantom 3

The inspire definitely has some cool features and performance attributes but I can't see it being a good seller going forward. Not for 2-3 times the price of the p3. If I purchased the inspire, I'm pissed of right now. Lol

    Foxtech Pivot V2 retracts... anyone?

I've had a chance to use the tarot retracts the last few days. They work flawlessly. I did order spares as I didn't expect much for $25 but like I said in a previous post they appear to be very well made and smartly designed. I don't know why 2 of the mounting holes are drilled and tapped...

    Foxtech Pivot V2 retracts... anyone?

I've seen gryphon x8's with 2 x "T" style legs and also 4 x "I" style legs. I think unless you are flying a 1400 size x8 you probably don't need the 4 leg setup.

My experience with screw type Quick Release Prop Adaptors:-

I have the drones vision one and love them. Just went to order more and they have changed them. http://www.dronesvision.net/en/aircraft-propellers/1842-7075-aluminium-alloy-quick-detach-self-locking-prop-adaptors-for-carbon-fiber-props-cw-ccw-x-4pcs.html I'm not a fan of the Swiss cheese...

Gremsy will be releasing their H6 soon.

This is a comment from Gremsy on facebook. "this is normal drift for the pan, about 0.5 degree per minute because it doesn't have compass to compensate for , roll and picth has accelerometer to compensate for so less drift" So I'm assuming if no pan commands are given it will drift 1/2 degree...

    Northern New Yorker here

If you decide to use dual batteries then yes, use 6s. Maybe fly a bit first with what you have and then make a decision based on whether or not you are happy with air time.

    Foxtech order

If it's around 1300 grams you have the right battery. My 6s12000's from Tattu said 4500 on them.

    Northern New Yorker here

Welcome. I like your style. You don't mess around. Go big or go home :-) You mention batteries. Consider using 2 in parallel. This adds redundancy and allows you to have the gps centered while having the aircraft balanced. Maybe use 2 x 4500 or 2 x 6000. Just a thought. Post some...

Do you change cog when changing payload?

My rig is well balanced horizontally. Finding that vertical cog is real difficult but I estimated and it's flying real good without payload. I will test this week with various payloads.
