    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

The little push-switch may have dried out. Try a drop of WD40 to unstick it. Best to remove the four corner screws and take the circuit board assy out rather than spray WD40 over everything with none of it going through the hole.

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

As a follow up to my reply to your post on the 'Before you buy, please read this' thread, the other pre-requisite to achieving any success is perseverance. FYI, I have two Picloc TRv3's, one Picloc 2X and three Picloc 3X Pro's and I don't want any of them. If you want any of them let me know.

Before you buy, please read this

For the most part I would entirely agree with how the multi-rotor phenomenon has been marketed and how folks have been seduced by what turns out to be immature systems still in development. Of the options currently available commercially, MikroKopter is probably still the one by which all others...

    NEX-5n / HDMI / gentLED incompatibility

I was trying it with a stock GH2 out of the box, no hacks or patches, set at all resolution options. It would not output a video signal via the HDMI converter but it would to a TV or HDMI equipped monitor. But, even with the TV it had to be connected and switched on in a very specific order...

    NEX-5n / HDMI / gentLED incompatibility

Did you eventually get one of those HDMI converters and did it work with your GH2? I found the GH2 reluctant to output via the HDMI converter (it didn't work), but it would with an HDMI equipped TV or monitor.

Is this an MR with variable pitch props or a heli? Quite an abrupt landing there I'd say, Juz. Methinks there followed a rebuild.

Mikrokopter MK Firmware 0.88 online now

That 'explanatory' document, indeed this whole thread, are clear examples of the main problems facing MK multi-rotor users in understanding how to set up their models. It may not all be rocket science but there is a sufficiently high degree of geekiness required to be able to comprehend WTF all...

Ha ha ha ha ha ha. We obviously have something in common. I spend MY LIFE crawling around looking for screws, washers, nuts, radio connector pins. We even have an expression in this house, "Pick it up, Drop it".

    Gunters new octocopter build

So strange reading all these village names again, Painswick, Leonard Stanley, Nailsworth etc ... I went to Wycliffe College in Stonehouse in the late 60's. Still receive their newsletter every couple of months.

Mikrokopter MK Firmware 0.88 online now

I do not read it that way. My understanding is that the old idea of Position Hold where the MR returns to the place it was activated is gone. Now, Position Hold will always update to the new GPS coordinates, whether by turning off and on according to when sticks are centered or by continuous GPS...

I got all excited when I heard about the FS700. Then I found out the projected price. Arrrgh. The problem is I am looking for a workable Multi-Rotor camera solution. The FS100 is tempting - even though it will be seven times more expensive than a GH2 - but it still weighs in at a kilo, without...

Doesn't look any different to a NEX-5n. It still has that rather unsatisfying softness to the image and the 'jello' is still there. I am led to understand that the main drawback with the NEX series is that, despite having an excellent sensor, it is the amount of information that is discarded in...

Mikrokopter MK Firmware 0.88 online now

No. It would return to the coordinates where PH was activated in FW .82. Among other things like Teachable CareFree, FW .86 also introduced Dynamic Position Hold where it would assume a new GPS Hold position at the coordinates where the stick is released. I don't have MKTool up right now but I...

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

With this unreliable weather I decided to see how the 3X would handle the 2-axis mount on a Raptor 50. I decided to use FW v.E055 as HD55 has known issues with proportional servos and v.56 just isn't behaving. The 3X had to be mounted lengthways due to lack of space. I knew this would not...

Excellent comparison Casey. Do we assume that the sharper, more dynamic image on the right is the 2?

Cinestar gimbal keeps panning while connect servo to receiver

I'm suspicious of all this. From the beginning it has all sounded like the feedback pot was not centered when the servo was modified to 360 continuous.

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

Hello George, In order to reduce unnecessary bulk, and avoid having too many cables in the large loop to accommodate Roll movement, there is just one 3-way cable supplying power to the 3X. All other 3X outputs and inputs have just the signal wire. The 3X is not directly powering anything. The...
