That's what I thought ! If it doesn't then what the hell are we buying it for? May as well keep the old IMU.v1 and use the new damped fastener with IMU tray 'upgrade' - if and when it ever becomes available to buy.
I think pretty much ALL their stuff looks nice. I just have a problem with the...
With the USB connected to the MC the upgrade options do not appear. They only appear if the USB cable is connected to the bluetoothLED - except that they 'timeout' and don't complete the upgrade.
Oh by the way folks, here is some more funny news.
If you are rushing out to get the IMU.v2 so that you can take advantage of the super user-friendly bluetooth LED for super user-friendly parameter changing ... it doesn't work with an iPhone 4.
Minimum is an iPhone 4S.
If you don't have an...
I have tried three types of gel (including the blue Align) - even combinations of different thicknesses and densities - and it made not a scrap of difference to the height dropping unreliability (IMU.v1/fw5.16).
I have now installed the IMU V2 and the bluetooth LED. WKM software is v5.22 and it...
The intention of this thread is not just to ***** about DJI but to gather all the complaints in one place to a) compare the problems and b) assemble a sufficient number of documented issues that DJI can be confronted with a huge number of 'complaints'. Without doubt they will come to know of...
Maybe, but ... with an all-DJI rig of S800/WKM/Z15G plus GH2 there is little excuse for DJI (or anyone else) to suggest that this configuration is outside original AUW specs. It is all their gear and sold as a standard configuration. As I remember it the S800 was the first MR released, i.e...
There are one or two posts that credit a couple of DJI representatives with attempting to be helpful but these are lost in the swathe of posts of frustration or anger with DJI for their lack of customer concern, particularly with regard to their 'upgrade' policy where original equipment has...
Do we know about this? The Aussies (& Kiwis) have come up with their own GoPro. Turned the sensor through 90° but otherwise appear to use pretty much the same case and fittings.
Oh this just gets funnier and funnier.
Hot on the heels of the IMU.v2 uproar, where the sentiments pretty much echo what you have stated, is this announcement of replacement booms - eerily foretold by Yours Truly in the Wookong IMU V2 thread.
With this 'upgrade' DJI will have finally replaced...
I feel you are being unnecessarily charitable there.
I somehow doubt that the S800 was not on the drawing board when the Wookong-M was brought to market. DJI had already established themselves as a credible supplier of two generations of SR heli auto-pilot systems before the WKM appeared, and...
Well, if you have gone to the lengths of selling your car and now your house, just to get the S800 to work, you may as well sell your soul now. I mean, in for a penny, in for pound, Eh?
My Copterworks heli has 950 blades and SAB are about the only ones available that won't break up. The relatively high head speed of 1430 unfortunately precludes M-Blades which don't have the tip speed.
Although I too am interested in these damped fasteners, in the interests of further isolating the camera mount from the airframe, there is one aspect that I am not happy about and which puts this modification into the 'Bandaid' category. With the standard method the booms are attached to the...
Pretty accurate summary there.
I will refrain from DJI-bashing for a moment until we see what sort of responses are generated - if any - by the general outcry over yet another admission of faulty design of a vital component and the DJI policy to continue charging their existing customers for...
Apparently the S800 is the only airframe that vibrates sufficiently to upset the Wookong-M IMU. Funny that, really - since it is DJI's own design.
Theoretically though the problem should be apparent in any airframe that vibrates, I suppose.
I was unaware of the S800's 7kg threshold. Seems to me that DJI did not do their sums at all. Bloody idiots.
According to the 'letter from DJI to dealers' DJI refer to the "..heavily loaded S800 (for example above 7kg) ..." WHAT? They have built and market this as a Professional AP system...
