Mikrokopter Y6 Setup: Tips and Tricks

It's been rainy for a few days and it looks the rain will continue smashing the ground. So I couldn't do any further tests. I attached some leds to the arms and did a simple LED distribution board (I copied it from Gunter! :) ). Photos and videos will come soon. Dave, I think I will need some...

New Camera Mount Design Advice Please

Hi Ben, Nice design. Do you think 2mm fiberglass (G10) material will be rigid enough for the camera mount?

Please help with some maths... (or math in the US!)

Hello Ben, For a 5.6kg AUW and: MT2826 / KV550 motors. When a 14x4.7 or something like 13x6 is used, enought thrust is generated with 6 motors (you'll have approximately 880 gr extra payload capacity). But with this combination, you will notice that your gas stick will be at 3/5 position for...

    It doesn't fit!

You can add a cable extension to the Lipo with 12AWG cable. You will just need 4 inches silicon cable. Then, you can solder 12AWG to XT60.

Dji Wookong M Okto build with Av200/360 connection/power issues

You need to use Futaba Sbus if you want octo configuration + camera stabilization. Or as you said, you need convert to Hexa if you're using other Rx/Tx system.

Please help with some maths... (or math in the US!)

Berneoben, If you're willing to use MT2826, just be sure that you have enough long arms to carry at least 13" props. Since the KV value is low on MT2826, you will need bigger props to have enough thrust on these motors. I would recommend 14x4.7, 14x4 or 13x6 with MT2826. Even you use 15" prop...

    It doesn't fit!

You will have to use 5.5 mm bullet connectors on the Lipo, I hade the same problem. Just make a converter using 12 AWG cable. (Ofcourse you gonna need extra pair of bullet connectors.) If you can hold until the meeting, I can bring a converter to you :)

    CS8 to X8 conversion - Herkules ESC III V3

Boris, I'm very excited to see the results of your setup. If Herkules II works with DJI W-M much better than standart ESCs, I'll be very glad.

Jes, as far as I know, RC Timer doesn't has A2836/9. They have BC2836-9 (which have 10 of them :) ), and I suspect they would be enough for Gunters. Did you mean A-3536/9 or BC3536-11? http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=399&productname=...

Easiest way is to use a 9V battery. If there's a short, it will not blow the BL Ctrls.

Mikrokopter Y6 Setup: Tips and Tricks

Ok, here are the pictures first: I had a problem with seeing the front of the craft with flat Hexa. Now, it's easier. Additionally, I added a small boom to the front, so it will be much easier to recognize the nose when flying high. (That extra empty CFK boom doesn't exist in the design...

Hey Gunter, You're over the limit accroding to ecalc, which I believe a very successful tool in evaluating this kind of combos. * Your prop is big for that motor. It's gonna be very hot.I And I suspect your 30A ESC will handle that. f you lower the diameter of the prop, you won't have enough...

    Mikrokopter WOW! So Judge This

Hey Dave, I'm working extensively on the settings. So here my suggestions: You can start by increasing GPS-Acc. Normally it's set to 0. The higher value means, faster response of the GPS to the movements. (First try 2, then 4, then 6 and finally 8. ) ACC/Gyro Comp: Increase this step by step...

Mikrokopter Y6 Setup: Tips and Tricks

Hello everyone, I'm converting my Flat Hexa to Y6 configuration. MKTool doesn't provide official Y6 mixer table, there are some mixer tables out there including this: http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/mkm Motor alignment: So, there are two important parts as far as I read: * Mixer table *...
