    Ecalc assistance 4s or 3s?

Sorry, I missed this topic. Jess is the master of ecalc analysis, so nothing to add to his words :) I have several BC2836-9 motors. I only have 4s batteries so, the biggest prop that I could use safely was 11x5. With 3s, you'll be more comfortable than I am, but be sure to check out the heat...

    V6 and V8 Frame Designs

Hello Odo, I must admit that your design is very clever! Thanks! I'm going to build that design in a few weeks and will see how it works. I have lots of aluminium square arms and will use them.

    Wookong-M on Quad (Build Thread)

Okay, I had 15 minutes of flight today. I started playing with gain settings and the position of IMU/GPS. Yaw seems better but I still have problems with yaw. I'm getting impressed by the stability of altitude mode. It's so simple. A person with a 2 minutes of stick learning session coud fly...

Thoughts on making my power distribution

Hello jes, Do you have any recommendation for heavy lifters? The only solution is a star cable which weights 200 grams?

    Wookong-M on Quad (Build Thread)

Thanks for the details Ken. I didn't think the vertical CoG was important. I'm going to play with the placement settings of IMU in the conf tool and see what happens. I think my yaw problem is due to the orientation of the IMU, I changed it a little bit and will see what happens. I think I...

    Wookong-M on Quad (Build Thread)

Hi Boris, Sorry for the forum bug, my values are: My gain settings : 170% 170% 140% 100% Altt gain: 70% 70% Yes, that's weird at first but I think I'll get used to it. But alttitude hold is definitely much better than the MK. Landing on and off are easier. ESC timing is Low. Brake - off...

    Wookong-M on Quad (Build Thread)

Hello everyone, One month passed after recieving the shipment from djiusa and finally I gathered all the bits and parts. My first intention was to build a hexa or Y6 but, I found myself building a quad. First specs: * Custom frame * MK3638 motors (These motors were purchaed with the QuadXL...

    V6 and V8 Frame Designs

Hello again Ododobe, Using a coaxial setup like yours will require a landing gear. That's something I would avoid. Yes, the V8 frame ends up very big. Asctec Falcon is also about 1 meter long, as far as I know. Thanks for the drawings by the way :) The only topic I could find was this...

    RED Epic under a multirotor

I'm not impressed by the stability of the copter, too. This is something that any multirotor user can do; ofcourse with enough courage. I don't know why the tech web sites jumped into to the video "woavvv, unbelieveable!"

    CS8 to X8 conversion - Herkules ESC III V3

Those plugs seem specially made for DJI, never came across on the web. If you want best results with painting, search for "anodizing". Normal painting will not work perfectly, once you touch it with your nail, the paint will drop off.

    CS8 to X8 conversion - Herkules ESC III V3

Hetsink is looking very good. It was rainy today, I only had 10 minutes to try with your settings :) Will look into the yaw problem more detailed.

    CS8 to X8 conversion - Herkules ESC III V3

Boris, I loved the build, especially the IMU and MC parts!! :) I think the placement of IMU is somehow important for W-M configuration. I have set the distances from the center in W-M tool but I still have unwanted yaw movement. I look forward your videos, how it flies..

    V6 and V8 Frame Designs

I agree Matt, without a landing gear, the total weight would be much less. I think the patent prevents Mikrokopter to release an official V8 mixer settings. Ododobe, I don't know the exact specs of V8 frame, maybe Matt can shed some light on this, but as far as I've looked into, it looks the...

    Design for future project.

Hello, Like Ben, I liked the Concept 5. It's a V tail, as Matt demonstrated before, it works good with OP CC board. I'm very interested in seeing a successful flat V6 or V8 design. http://www.multirotorforums.com/showthread.php?1143-V6-and-V8-Frame-Designs

    V6 and V8 Frame Designs

Hey guys, I'd like to discuss this topic extensively. I know that Matt is a big fan of V-tail design. I'm also considering building a V8 frame but as far as I've searched, V design is patented by another German multirotor company called Asctec. (asctec.de) They have a multirotor system called...

New Camera Mount Design Advice Please

Hello Ben, T shape is very logical, but as far as I can understand, the vertical part needs to be sharp again somehow. Maybe, a little workshop with sand will overcome this. I think I need to cut one and see if it works perfectly :) I can cut Delrin, I am using 10 mm Delrin blocks for motor...

New Camera Mount Design Advice Please

Yeah, I have problems creating sharp corners with CNC cutting. They all go round. I have some laser cutting machines in the neighbourhood but they claim that laser can't cut fiberglass. Is that true? I don't now f T shape will work but I'll give it a try, good idea. Thanks!
