Its a bit like slow flight with fixed wing. It get a little more similar to fixed wing flight when you get into fast forward flight, like when a heli gets into translational flight.

Just go for the DJI Naza, perhaps a little more than $150 but has baro Alt hold. personally I love the Gaui GU344, I think it has an awesome feel in cruise (nor) mode.
