    I've finally bitten the bullet!

Yay, after hmm-ing and ahhh-ing ive finally bitten the bullet and ordered an f450 with Naza and GPS as my first multicopter.... my first rc aircraft excluding my little mqx. I was going to go for a TBS but after some good advice from Quadcopters I went for the smaller and cheaper starting point...

If you can fly one multi rotor can you fly them all ?

The caa do not make mistakes with regards putting things into the regulations. If something is stated in the regulations then you can take it as being correct, for the private examining company in question to say that the caa made a mistake is ridiculous! If the caa only require a bunc-s to fly...

    Best mini quad reviews

I've just bought a little mqx to get a bit of practice on. It's a fantastic little device and has highlighted to me just how much of a learning curve I have to being able to flying, it is very responsive.

    Flying Skills and more

The flying skills shown by warthox are crazy, I didn't even know you could do any of that stuff with a quad! How would you go about doing it? In manual I presume? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was going to use it for fpv, why not when it's tailored for it? We have an excellent fpv store over here so I will be getting my gear from there (www.firstpersonview.co.uk) just a little plug for them ;) I will be getting the kit locally from Geoff at Quadcopters and as far as I am aware it...

Ok guys, you lot are buggers (Yorkshire colloquialism) after reading about your tbs's I've decided to get one as my first MR as opposed to the DJI F450 and I must say I cannot wait. Is there any immediate advice or recommendations prior to my purchase?

Grrrr I so want one of these beauties!!! I hate having to work my way up to one, but can't quite justify having one yet, (ie getting it past the missus) quote "we need to start saving for the wedding" ....bummer :( Still she is 'letting' me have £1500 to get a small f450. Can't look a gift horse...

Aeronavics / Droidworx What droidworx frame for +30mins flying time?

It would be classed as industrial work and I have considered CCD camera instead of a DSLR or similar. I must admit I didnt consider a camcorder, mainly due to the fact that Id like to be able to take stills. I will have a look at this Falcon 8, but I suspect it will be well out of my budget.

Aeronavics / Droidworx What droidworx frame for +30mins flying time?

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, the reason why Im looking at extended flying times, is to reduce accumulated turnaround times between flights throughout the day. It would be a case of take-off, fly, land, change out batteries and then take-off again. If I downloaded the stills/video between...

    FPV camera options

I'd like to use the go pro hero 2 but the lens barreling is to much for my photographer sensibilities, I was thinking of using this one instead http://www.securitycamera2000.com/products/690TVL-Ultra-WDR-Pixim-SEAWOLF-HD-CCTV-Mini-Camera-3.6mm-Lens-OSD-Menu.html?fullSite=1&setCurrencyId=2

Aeronavics / Droidworx What droidworx frame for +30mins flying time?

I did initially think of the s800, but I don't particularly like the look of it, everything looks exposed and flimsy. The task I have in mind would require possibly 3 to 5 hours of flying a day for up to 30 consecutive days. By flying I mean actual airframe airtime. Hence my looking at...

Aeronavics / Droidworx DroidWorx Show Reels / Production Videos

I think (but could be completely wrong, so I apologise if I am) quadcopters may have used the same music for his showreel for this year. Either way, all of the showreels shown so far are fantastic, they are certainly something to aspire to!

Thanks macgrafs, it helps a little. I know the SJ8 can carry a lot, hence the reason why I was thinking of putting a relatively light weight camera and gimbal system onboard and using the remaining payload capacity to load up with batteries to increase flight duration. I realise there will be a...
