Sharing my troubles hoping to help someone out....

Well said mate and I'm really sorry for your loss, having recovered most of the pieces from last flight 2 weeks ago I know how you feel. Unfortunately I have to wait another 3 weeks before I can commence the craft, and see if I can find out what happened. Sometimes I hate my job :-( Good luck in...

    Stripping and cleaning motors

The issue I have is that the mud is inside the motor as well and I want to make sure I've got it all cleaned off. I will give it an initial brush clean and take it from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stripping and cleaning motors

Given my recent incident with the ground, I'm left with a motor covered in mud. Does anyone here know how to strip down and clean DJI motors? I will probably be purchasing a new motor anyway, but I believe it would be adequate as a spare. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    A good day gone bad

Having spoken to someone at fast lads, apparently the latest version of the Naza firmware is very buggy, so it could be that? He recommended putting it back to default... 1.6? The ESC looks repairable, I just need to re-solder the bullet connector on, it broke rather than disconnecting when...

    A good day gone bad

From what I can gather, it flew great just 2 days ago and I did nothing different. I'm perplexed if honest.

    A good day gone bad

Well it must be a day for crashes! The first flight of the day not 30 seconds in the air and quad decides to run off! It was heading to the woods and I knew I wouldn't find it again of it went in their so I did the only thing I could think of.... I ditched it! I managed to find most of the bits...

    'twas abit windy!

I do feel more comfortable using the autos, but I would like to be able to do a few flips/rolls with the quad and Im afraid that that just isnt possible with my setup, unless I give it a try in manual :S

    'twas abit windy!

If it hadn't been so windy I would have given manual a shot, I'm still very new to this and learning all the time. I can count how many times I've flown on one hand! Lol I will get there though.

    'twas abit windy!

Cheers Steve, I have a 3 way switch set as the following, 1 GPS, 2 Atti, 3 Manual. I have a 2 way switch set for fail safe on and off. I was in gps mode and i turned the fail safe off, however, nothing happened, it still remained in fail safe from what I could tell. I tried switching to Atti...

    'twas abit windy!

Here's footage of me and my mate having a quick fly yesterday. It must have been blowing 20 mph but the Naza and GPS seemed to cope quite well, although the video is a bit lopsided in parts. It was an enjoyable afternoon anyway, even considering I had a little crash (it's not on this vid)...

    8FG & Naza set-up

Thanks for the heads up Jon, I think I'm going to turn the voltage monitoring off. The go pro auto shut off is disabled as is the spot metering. Hopefully I will get out for a fly again tomorrow. I've not covered the left side of the Naza as yet, but I will do, even though the FC is...

    8FG & Naza set-up

Hey chaps, sorry Ive been a bit quiet recently, been spending a bit of time with the other half and getting caught up with the golf thing. Anyway, Ive finally had chance to get the quad out for a proper flight. It flew well and there were no incidents but I believe I still need to sort out the...

Nice one mate, at least we know the tech works even if the customer service doesn't! I can't see myself ever going that far but never say never! Good luck tomorrow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
