    Aeroxcraft gopro gimbal HORRIBLE

This is a classic example of doing your homework before you click the buy button. A direct drive gimbal being stabilized by the Naza will simply not do what you expect it to do. Further more, flying it without a BEC is very risky, and you run the chance of having it drop like a rock. I assume...

    Hoverfly XY-8 Build, Rev4, Hoverfly

Nice job, Bart. I was just sitting here designing some myself, but those look much nicer.

RC Timer extended Flame wheel arms

Not as much power as the 15inch props with a 6S motor that the arms are designed for. I'm sure they will be fine. TBH, they seem stronger than the DJI arms, and I have no problems with those, even after I extended them out to 650 size.

    3D Printing Parts

If any of you are looking to experiment with 3D printing, look for a local hacker space in your area. We have two different ones here in Baltimore, and both have 3D printers. I've been experimenting myself and it's loads of fun. So far I've printed an enclosure for my OpenPilot CC board and some...

    My brushless gimbal result

Very nice. Since you built the gimbal size for even larger cameras, have you had a go with anything else yet? I'd love to see some NEX footage on that.

RC Timer extended Flame wheel arms

I'm still up in the air on what to do. I'm planning a new frame build, so I was thinking that I would hold off and just put all the 6S stuff on the new frame. In the meantime, I might put these arms on my 550 and then spin some 12 inch APC's instead of the 11 inch Graupner's I've got on there...

How NOT to fly a hexa DJI

Seriously, you have to be trolling with this, right? You aren't honestly comparing automobiles and MR's, are you? At last count, there are over 254,000,000 registered autos in the US alone. I'd bet there are no more than 10,000 multis out there. I could be wrong on that estimate, but not enough...

Stolen Iftron Video Equipment On This Forum

You should try to get the person on the phone or some how track where they are. I would pretend to be an interested buyer first rather than posting that it's stolen right away, then try to get some info out of them. Couldn't hurt really.

    Hi from Maryland

Awesome, Sounds good. The space we are having the first meetup at is pretty cool. They have everything there... 3D printer, 2 CNC machines, metal lathe, all the presses and saws you could think of, and the owner is pumped on making some cool airframes there. I've got my CC3D on a 550 size...

    Hi from Maryland

Hey Danub, Welcome to the board. It's nice to see another Baltimore resident flying some cool airframes! I've been organizing some folks in the area to do some fly-ins real soon. Let me know if you would like to join us. We have a meetup board at http://www.meetup.com/Baltimore-Drones/ -Terry

How NOT to fly a hexa DJI

I was just thinking about you the other day, being in NOLA and all. Don't do it, my Ravens made it down there and are going to stomp some 49ers! ;-)

How NOT to fly a hexa DJI

Dave, I think you hit the nail on the head. You can easily see at the end of the video that they were flying in GPS mode and had no sats locked. 3 red flashes followed by a double purple LED. Some people have more money than sense I suppose.

Finally for all unhappy S800 users - antivib upgrade

I can see that, but the ball joints are screwed down with a hex screw, are they not? It shows 1 hex screw and 1 nut for each of the ball joints as well as photos of them in use, unless I'm missing something. It just seems like very odd logic to me. You design a copter that has an advantage of...

How NOT to fly a hexa DJI

Badfrog, the short answer is that there is no license in the US. Commercial flight is restricted and they won't have proper legislation passed till 2015 at the earliest.

How NOT to fly a hexa DJI

This type of behavior scares me. Can you imagine what would happen if that was in the US at the Super Bowl? It would be on the front page of every news paper/website. I wonder if they got their copter back though? That's a lot of money to just throw away!

Finally for all unhappy S800 users - antivib upgrade

How does the "quick release" work? It appears to use a hex screw in the photo. Do you just unscrew it quickly? ;-)

Finally for all unhappy S800 users - antivib upgrade

Looks like a great idea, but wouldn't that defeat the removable arms? Are these quick release of some type, or would you have to unscrew them every time you wanted to take the arms off and pack up the copter?

    For Sale - CopterFrames.com G.O. Gimbal

I have a brand new 2 axis camera gimbal from copterframes.com for sale. It's their G.O. model and features a 2-1 belt reduction system. It's very smooth, just a little more camera mount than I need. Includes G.O. kit assembled and both servos, 1x hacked Hitec hs-645MG with potansiometer for...
