Can I get a little help here! NEED some email sent from professionals..

How unfortunate. It doesn't sound like there is much possibility for resolution here. Why not just distance yourself as much as possible and let them dig their own grave? Given your description they are their own worst enemies so they are bound to get themselves in serious trouble eventually...

Please help - Flip on Lift Off!!

This type of thing is almost always a problem with the wrong prop order, the motors not connected to the flight controller in the right sequence or the motors not spinning in the correct direction.

Experiences with folding props or quick connectors?

I've put these on three of my copters now that use T-Motors and props. It takes me about a minute to get the props on/off so now I never transport it with the props on. They are rock solid and very accurate. I just love them. http://www.foxtechfpv.com/propeller-quick-detach-cwccw-p-1303.html

DJI has released its Zenmuse Z15-GH4 (HD) 3-axis HD gimbal stabilization system

Looks quite slick. I'm so sick of messing around with gimbals and Alexmos boards I might consider it. Anyone know the price? I'm assuming around $5k?

    Choosing the right gimbal

Gimbal development moves quickly and people have different needs. If you want to spend premium money in the $5,000 range then there are several proven solutions such as DJI and Movi. But in the sub $2,000 range it's a moving target. It's a bit like the copters, you can buy whatever frame you...

    Came 7000 3 axis gimbal?

I decided to go for broke and buy the Pro version of the Alixmos board from GotHeliRC after seeing their ad here. It's a bit pricey but I'm glad that I got it. I'm really sick of making cases and wiring things up. This is really a slick piece of gear and much more professional. I'm a bit worried...

More Rules / Laws comming to Australia?

I totally agree. And that's who CASA are not going to regulate. Under 2Kg just go for it. But those who know what they are doing and stick the regs will still have to spend $5k to jump through the CASA hoops for certification. Makes total sense to me. Honestly, why is CASA involved in the...

    F550 Crash

Unless your flight controller provides logging then you can only guess about what causes a crash. As for total reliability, based on what I read on various forums, the only way to get that is not to fly. You can mitigate known issues but I'm sure you can find examples of every controller and...

    XAircraft SuperX

Anyone else using the XAircraft GPS/Compass folding post to mount their GPS puck on? I spent a week trying to figure out why my SuperX compass wouldn't calibrate and always showed red at the end of the calibration process. If I put it in to GPS mode it would be yellow which is indicative of...

    Multirotor Remote Landing

Well, if you were using Arducopter then all you would have to do is flick it in to 'Land' mode and guess what, it would land. The landing I did with with Arducopter's land mode were often times smoother than I could do myself. Very impressive. Then again, maybe I'm just a bad pilot. :-)

    Came 7000 3 axis gimbal?

Wow, good to know about them. They seem to be taking a break now so I decided to go for the Alexmos sold by GotHeliRC since they advertise here.

A question for the pros from a wannabe pro

Manual mode does not mean the same thing on different controllers. Manual in the DJI world is the equivalent of 'Acro' in the APM world. On some controllers, I suspect most, manual would be equivalent to Atti in the DJI world. GPS mode on APM is 'Loiter'. Pure manual control is what you would...

    Came 7000 3 axis gimbal?

I decided to install the third axis on my CAME-TV 7000 gimbal to use in Follow mode. The first test flight was fantastic! As everyone said it really does smooth out the panning. I'm quite excited about it. Unfortunately, while I had the Alexmos board connected to my laptop, when I did a 'save' I...

Two drones almost collide with NYPD chopper

There's a simple answer to all of this. Force any consumer device that flys to have severe limitations. Such as no higher than 20 meters or no further than 50 meters from take off built in to the firmware. If you want to go further you have to move in to another class of equipment and get a...

A question for the pros from a wannabe pro

Not that I'm a pro but I'm fairly confident that when operators here refer to flying in manual mode they are referring to 'non GPS' or 'non automated' modes, which is mostly Atti mode in the DJI scheme of things. Essentially anything that doesn't rely on GPS which can be unreliable in certain...

Flying on an Airline with LiPo Batteries

That sheet of information in the photo is the FAA regulations. I carried the regulations with me as you'd be surprised how many TSA agents aren't clear about them. Those regulations prohibit lipo batteries from being transported in the hold. My copter was in a Pelican case and it was opened...

Flying on an Airline with LiPo Batteries

Here's what I did when traveling to the US from Australia and on domestic flights in the US. Worked great. They looked at the label and said, 'Fine'. Needless to say, the labels were self printed (well, actually they were printed by a fellow forum member who will be traveling internationally...

Flew my drone through a firework display

I don't see people being ridiculed for doing new things. However I do see people being ridiculed for not having a clue what they are doing and putting others in danger. The fireworks video had a lot of other footage flying over a huge crowd of people. There have been comments that it was in a...
