    Hi From Cleveland Brisbane Australia

It's pretty well tied to the PX4 Pixhawk hardware. However, one of the huge changes it's gone through is to make it portable. I think it even runs on Linux systems now. As far as Oz goes, yeah, Leonard from Adelaide Uni is a big contributor and the well known Andrew Tridgell (author of rsync and...

    Two 5,000 6S or one 10,000?

Aren't you running a SuperX on your bird? If so, and with most other FCs, you can get a voltage warning across the OSD if you have one. Even though I have OSD I still fly with a lipo low voltage buzzer connected to one of the two batteries. Like you my two batteries have never been any...

    Hello, forum!

We may be getting close to needing a 12 step program. Hi, my name is DazzaB and it's been 48 hours since I placed an order with HobbyKing...

    Hi From Cleveland Brisbane Australia

brewski - Now you sound like an Arducopter/Pixhawk kind of a guy. If you want lots of cool functionality and low price give it a go. And a lot of the code comes right here from Australia!

CASA (Australian) UAV controller / operator certificate

Congrats! I'm dying to do that course. This wasn't by chance at Aus Academy in Qld? I'm working on raising the cash now to head up there ASAP. So what's the situation with an OC now? Who's operator cert will you be flying under?

    XAircraft SuperX crash... what happened?!

Not wrong but shouldn't be nearly enough to cause a crash, let alone what happened to you. Apparently it's caused by coming down through the propwash. You can avoid it simply by moving along the X or Y axis a bit as you descend. Give it a try. Makes for a much nicer landing.

    Pixhawk Feedback?

July 9, 2014. That's certainly within six months. I watched that as well. I found it really interesting. Meant to send you an email telling you that. Give it up Robert. It's not a big deal. No need to get your panties in a twist. Also, I may not have picked you up on my radar because you are in...

Ehang shows new multi rotor at TechCrunch Beijing conference

Well, you have to start somewhere. Personally, I'm happy to see anyone compete against DJI.

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

That's great news! Congrats. Now, can you come to Canberra and help me get as good of results?

    Pixhawk Feedback?

I'm sorry if you took that statement poorly as it certainly wasn't intended to offend. What I meant was up to six months ago you certainly were not very vocal or public as Randy, Leonard or Jonathon. If you like we can get the stats from the forums, dev list and the commits given you do better...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

I'd have to see the logs before I could comment. :-) My net connection dropped out after writing some notes for you so this version will be shorter. First of all, I've been involved with Arducopter for over three years now. Until recently I haven't noticed anything from you and wasn't even...

Ehang shows new multi rotor at TechCrunch Beijing conference

A friend just sent me this link. Has anyone heard of this company and/or tried their copters? Sounds interesting:

    Pixhawk Feedback?

@R_Lefebvre - Were you involved in the hardware design of the Pixhawk? I've always wondered why they didn't go with a separate IMU unit with anti vibe mounting like DJI and XAircraft? I'm not an engineer but I've always wondered if having the sensors on the controller board might not be...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

Let me be perfectly clear here. From what I know about flight controllers there simply is nothing out there anywhere close to the Pixhawk in functionality. It's an amazing piece of technology and I honestly don't think there is anything out there that can offer what it does in many areas. It is...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

I suspect that you are right about this. Industrial photography has always been a good position to be in over the years as it requires technical knowledge and experience. I'm not so sure having the bottom of the market eaten up by Phatom operators is really a bad thing. To draw a comparison...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

What a depressing post. Unfortunately I have to agree with you. I've been moving between the view that I got in to it too late and the view that there's always a market for quality and innovative creative approaches. I've spent years preparing and now have to commit another $10,000 for...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

Just when you thought it was safe to read this thread. :-) I may have mentioned that I ordered a tiny copter to play with. Of course, I'm planning on putting one of my Pixhawks on it even though it might be too small for that. After all, this one is just for goofing around with. Maybe a bit of...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

Please show me where I have said that the Pixhawk is flawed. Quite the contrary I have made many posts about it's good features which I can quote to you if you like. Your sensitivity to the topic really worries me. Your inability to provide real world proof really worries me. I've only made...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

I am being responsible by reporting to people what happened. Your representation is biased and I will continue to point that out. As I said, people can make up their own minds as it's all there for them to see for themselves. I am not passively attacking the Pixhawk. I am presenting another side...

    Pixhawk Feedback?

It's statements like this that make me believe that you don't have the experience required to properly analyse and understand the needs of commercial users. So, here's a video that pretty clearly sums up a reason not to fly a Pixhawk on a SkyJib. Users can make up there own mind. Skip to 1:30...
