    BMFA A Cert

They say the rotary test can be done with any collective or fixed pitch heli, I guess you could class an MR as a fixed pitch heli. You may have to fly it in manual though.

    Photozoom software deal

Found this handy looking photo enlargement software on offer through Groupon I'm assuming it uses some sort of pixel fill in technique to maintain sharpness. Can be used as a Photoshop plug in. http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/Avanquest/5923063?nlp=&CID=UK_CRM_1_0_0_141&a=1664...

    Show us what you shot.

It was Duffus Castle by Elgin. X650 all fixed up now but somewhat redundant in the absence of a camera mount that got damaged. Hope you get the spell of descent weather we must be due. for your shoot next week. Its been hopeless for shooting up here for the past fortnight. I'm drawing to the...

    naza wierdness

I have had what you describe happen once to me, ended up in a slight crash. I s**t meself and dumped it. I have 2 Naza's and its never happened on the other one, I must compare the firmware versions. I really like my Naza's for AP/AV but for sport flying I like my Gaui GU344. If I'm throwing the...

Drone over Denver? Near miss in the news...

More likely to be a 'flyaway' at 8000ft I reckon, although Denver ASL is about 5000ft, but still 2800ft is high if it was 8000ft QNH (above sea level). It would BE a clown who flies that high FPV.

Gaui Has any one uses Turnigy 9 x for Gaui

About 50% gain on the adjuster, or less if it still oscillates. If you turned it all the way CW it will be on max gain which might be why you have problems, if you have the green wire disconnected, that is. Just took my Gaui 330XS out of mothballs today, what a blast, best fun I've had with a MR...

    Cheap 5D gimbal

Anaka, are you saying the direct linkage system such as on the Helibest MC6500 works well given descent servos? I'm looking for a half descent low cost gimbal and have been looking at the one in question, the mc6500 and the PH CX3 2X mount.

Gaui Has any one uses Turnigy 9 x for Gaui

yes, but only works if you dont have gain and mode controlled through the Tx I think. ie green wire ch 5, disconnected. try just lifting off in hover.

yeah I know what you mean....all its got is a couple of dip switches and a gain potentiometer. what gains are you using? you in Hov or Cruise? did you take out that green wire at all in case your Tx gain settings were off. that way you can just use the small potentiometer on the 344 itself, I...

    Show us what you shot.

Not too sure, think I lost a motor, might have been a failed solder joint on an ESC/Motor connector pin, the connection was broken but could have been a result rather than a cause. took me by surprise, the futility of watching an MR fail, there absolutely nothing you can do but watch it fall and...

Yeah, just got a stiff reality check on the dangers of these things about half an hour ago, this was the final shot before plummeting to the ground, damage assessment underway!!

Gaui Has any one uses Turnigy 9 x for Gaui

just joking Paktazh!!:tennis: do a single servo test with your Tx/Rx for each channel. Have you calibrated the ESC's, is it all stock Gaui stuff your using? Sure none of your props are spinning backwards? makes a wierd noise when they do.

    450 on a budget?

Well you have to solder the ESC wires to the inside of the lower base plate and you may want to mount something inside ie Rx or FC. so not worth loctite'ing the frame together.

    450 on a budget?

check out the jdrones stuff, or hobbyking. Naza is good VFM and more or less plug & play. The power distrubution is integral to the lower base plate of the DJI frames so no wiring harness req'd. just solder your ESC's on and your main batt wires. Turnigy plush ESC's are good and cheap also. for...

Gaui Has any one uses Turnigy 9 x for Gaui

'Linear' - Linear throttle curve and 100% EP. + - X; change with dip switch on 344 and ensure its mounted as per your selection. Green wire/ ch5, for gyro mode...HOV / CRU. you should just disconnect it and use the dip switch to select mode on the Gyro, keep things simple at this stage. Dont...

I'm sure there is plenty video of the setup etc, I guess like me you didnt get the manual for the Tx, if you google Eurgle 9x Tx manual, you can download that manual it is the same Tx. It should help.
