definitely need bigger props, you might still struggle with 10 inch props at 2.8 kg.. must be a heavy gimbal you are using, or big lipo, what size 3s lipo are you using?
you dont need a big one 500mAh will do fine for you vtx.
hows your wiring from ESC to motor? this can often be the cause of problems. its tight in that enclosure for 6 wires and 2 motor shafts. were your wires all insulated from each other? XA know about these problem and advise to use spacers under the motor mounts and to heatshrink over the connections.

Looks nice shoots 1080p but with it being CMOS, unlike its CCD predecessors, at 24fps I think it may be prone to jello.

I find one quick way to make sure the motors and props are level is to turn the thing upside down resting on the prop nuts, you can then gauge better whether the props are level in relation to the flat surface it is sitting on

you want to use bigger props if your all up wieght is high, smaller if your light. larger props =lower rpm = less curent draw and vice versa.
carbon fibre props? I've never used them, most people seem to get good...

Just one possibility among many.....Important that all your motors are plumb ie straight up and down and props perfectly level. otherwise unwanted yaw happens.
You can get rotational play, albeit a very small amount on the booms.
