xaircraft, naza gps, go pro, gimbal = what to do?

definitely need bigger props, you might still struggle with 10 inch props at 2.8 kg.. must be a heavy gimbal you are using, or big lipo, what size 3s lipo are you using? you dont need a big one 500mAh will do fine for you vtx.

XAircraft X650 v8 value and Escs burned

Are you using a gimbal? if so how are the servos powered? If you are using a BEC do you have the ESC red wires disconnected at the FC?

XAircraft X650 v8 value and Escs burned

hows your wiring from ESC to motor? this can often be the cause of problems. its tight in that enclosure for 6 wires and 2 motor shafts. were your wires all insulated from each other? XA know about these problem and advise to use spacers under the motor mounts and to heatshrink over the connections.

    Canon S100 ?

Anyone using the latest succesor to the S90 and S95....The Canon S100? Looks nice shoots 1080p but with it being CMOS, unlike its CCD predecessors, at 24fps I think it may be prone to jello. Any thoughts or experiences??

Yaw on a xaircraft with Naza

I find one quick way to make sure the motors and props are level is to turn the thing upside down resting on the prop nuts, you can then gauge better whether the props are level in relation to the flat surface it is sitting on

XAircraft got my hexa, some newbie questions...

Motor spec definitions http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1311397 you want to use bigger props if your all up wieght is high, smaller if your light. larger props =lower rpm = less curent draw and vice versa. carbon fibre props? I've never used them, most people seem to get good...

XAircraft got my hexa, some newbie questions...

The XA Gimbal...great little unit for AP, lacking on tilt range though. In my experience not suitable for AV though. I have upgraded my stock servo's to Savox hi speed ones, my results are getting better, but nowhere near the level a broadcast network would want. However I am only using a Naza...

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Arduino APM 2 board Octocopter settings release dates?

Anyone clued up on Octo X8 configuration for APM2? Perused a few discussions on DIYDRONES and it appear to be fraught with difficulty. It seems it can be done by inputing code but I wonder if there will be an actual mission planner setting released for coax quad which will load a reliable proven...

Yaw on a xaircraft with Naza

Just one possibility among many.....Important that all your motors are plumb ie straight up and down and props perfectly level. otherwise unwanted yaw happens. You can get rotational play, albeit a very small amount on the booms.
