    Researching a Gimbal for a BMPCC (t810).

I agree with the thoughts and ideas of what many of you are writing here. Econofly, I think you and I are in search of the similar gimbal qualities. Thoughts on the DJI and and additional a Zenmuse type solutions are a bit different. I'm not interested in a one size only gimbal. Maybe last...

    Researching a Gimbal for a BMPCC (t810).

I have a bit of experience with gimbals in the mid price range. I have 8 cameras and quads, a hex, and x8. Multiple Alexmos 8 bit, Alexmos 32bit, and the Centerpiece based gimbals. Lots of failures and experimenting, but now have a few things I'm happy with. In hindsight, I might have...

InfinityMR Universal high performance gimbal for GH4/A7S size cameras

Weight with your std anti-vibration plate? Price? If using CP, are the motors with encoders needed? Comparison of of CP vs Alexmos w/ encoder? Pro's and cons?

2015 NAB News: Blackmagic Micro Cinema Cam, Tiny, Drone-Specific Super16 RAW Camera

I have a gh2's, a gh3, & gh4. All have been good for video. I also have a BMPC which does give me a great 2k image with a bit extra dynamic range. It's not the easiest to use and has horrible battery life. From a usability standpoint, I'd take any of the GH series over the BMPC any day...

    Phobotic CenterPiece Owners Thread.

I'd think twice about the Ronin. Things crash, wear out and break. Right now, service on inspires is a quoted 6-8 weeks. Mine died on March 23, sent in on the 26th. They received it according to UPS the following Thursday. I just got a confirmation email last night and a zendesk link to...

Ronin m. What do you guys think for aerial?

I have the DYS Eagle Eye and like it. Bit heavy, but pretty easy to adjust and too big for some of the newer cameras that will be coming out in the future.. However, they will never take down the Movi at any price as you can't get parts for it. If I break something, I'll have to buy another...

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

I have 3-4 MR"s that are air ready right now and 2 more sitting doing nothing. I recently (in my mind downgraded my filming capabilities) bought a Inspire and have had some problems with 2 cameras and a bricked remote, & the worst customer service experience I have ever had. But I have hung...

Ronin m. What do you guys think for aerial?

I'm using the DYS 5d gimbal w/ gh3/ gh4 & Centerpiece and have pretty good luck with it. My only complaint is an occasional blip on the horizon. I keep a 2.5 and 2.0o driver handy. I find adjustments to be very quick and simple. I haven't stripped any heads or treads, so no issue so far...

    Phobotic CenterPiece Owners Thread.

I'm running GH3/ Gh4 with small lens and I'm running pretty good on the 3.34 firmware. I spend more time Tuning than I did with the last firmware. I'd autotune then go noodle around with yaw follow. Now I have to mess a bit with tuning, but new firmware has a soft setting for yaw follow...

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

Be interesting to see how quiet it is. With out the gimbal, what do you think the setup or tear down time is to get the MR ready to fly or put away? Too bad I'll probably never be able to afford one, but it sure looks nice and assume they will continue their history of only putting out...

DJI claims $10 billion valuation in fundraising campaign

The bigger they are the harder they could fall. They cannot succeed long term with their current support and repair process. It's the worse I've ever seen.

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

I'll put that on my wish list, the one I'll never afford. If I were in business and making money, I'd order one. They make stuff that works and that is just plain good looking and seriously functional.

2015 NAB News: Blackmagic Micro Cinema Cam, Tiny, Drone-Specific Super16 RAW Camera

Thanks. Not sure how I missed that page, but good to know. Looks like I'm going to maybe a little lighter in the wallet. Maybe my BMPC will see the 4-sale list.

2015 NAB News: Blackmagic Micro Cinema Cam, Tiny, Drone-Specific Super16 RAW Camera

Can you link or tell us where you heard this from. I've only seen the up to 30fps on the global shutter. I have been reading on this off and on all day and haven't seen or heard anything about non global shutter shooting or higher frame rates..... This is good news...

2015 NAB News: Blackmagic Micro Cinema Cam, Tiny, Drone-Specific Super16 RAW Camera

I just posted this on the other forum, but it's pertinent here. First thing we need in Drone Cameras is control via our radios. Hopefully, Black Magic got this right. The good. Better dynamic range than comparable cameras the same price range. Works with 4/3 lens. This camera seems to be...

    x8 650 vs 720 vs 850

Dumb Dumb Dumb, or stupid me if you prefer. I lengthened the legs and it looked good. Had to modify the anti-vbration plate a bit to fit between retracts and that worked well. Then, much to my chagrin, find I'd have to drop my gimbal about 4-5 inched to fit between the retracts. A, oh boy...

    x8 650 vs 720 vs 850

Looks like I'm going to be about 460mm to 465mm from the axis. My stationary legs were already a bit higher than they needed, so now I will be even higher. Might get them mounted tomorrow or late tonight, so will know what my final length will be then.
