Is Naza's gimbal controller any good?

Brushless gimbals use their own controller. The Naza controller would only be used for servo gimbals which, in my opinion, aren't worth the effort.

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Anyone using APM 2.5 for aerial filming?

Awesome, thanks for all the info! I'm looking forward trying it out.

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Anyone using APM 2.5 for aerial filming?

How is the hardware version right now? Are they planning any new releases anytime soon? I'd hate to buy the current version and then find out that a new one is only a month out.

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Anyone using APM 2.5 for aerial filming?

I've been following the development for sometime now. I'm part of a meetup group in Washington, DC that is filled with lots of APM users. When they first got started it seemed that some of the guys would get random glitches while hovering in loiter mode. Nothing major that caused any issues, but...

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Anyone using APM 2.5 for aerial filming?

I might have to give this a go. I've been going back and forth between using a Wookong or my CC3D. It's a large (800mm motor to motor) quad that is meant to be flown via FPV. I always loved the OpenPilot stuff for FPV because it let you set the maximum pitch angle while in stabilize mode, but it...

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Anyone using APM 2.5 for aerial filming?

is anyone using APM for larger machines right now? I'm building a quad with 15inch props that I'm looking for a flight controller for.

Frightening near fly away this afternoon

I had a continuous flashing red light once. My gains were set up for remote tuning, and then the x3 (wookong) input came unplugged and caused the issue. I turned it off in assistant and all was well again.

Best way to cut CF booms?

I ended up using a compound miter saw on my last build and it worked surprisingly well. No splinters at all, I just taped the outside first before the cut.

Not to keep this thread going on any longer, but I couldn't resist when I saw this post by op just 12 days ago in the thread he linked.

Open Letter to DJI (PLEASE READ)

Can we please get this RCGroups Bull$hit drama out of here?!?! hidaven, good luck with your international class action law suit. I'm sure you will do well considering how good of an attorney you are and the mountain of physical evidence you have collected.

Open Letter to DJI (PLEASE READ)

I think you are confused about what I am trying to say. Make no mistake, I 100% agree with your underlaying message. I have been flying DJI equipment since the very first Wookong hit the market. I'm very, VERY informed on their shortfalls, but that is not the point I'm speaking on. I'm simply...

DJI Released New Firmware 5.24 for WKM

Jesus, could they make the LED's any more complicated to understand? I bet that all those different colors will get very confusing in a bright field while flying. The auto switch to atti mode if they lose sats is nice, but the rest has me a bit scared of what DJI is doing with their firmware...

CAA Safety Notice after Pilot ditched in Thames

It was probably a Wookong, not a Naza. They have always had a GPS & compass and as far as I know, will not operate correctly without them, or if they become unmounted during flight. That was a pretty big MR, and if I had to bet, they were not controlling it with a Naza, which would only leave...

Open Letter to DJI (PLEASE READ)

While I 100% agree with the underlaying message, that letter sounds like the rantings of an upset 13 year old rather than a corporate attorney. I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for a reply. Just out of curiosity, where was it sent and how? Did you author the letter, or are you just sharing it...

Another Phantom Fly Away - IMPORTANT

I seriously doubt it's a loose prop nut. The stock DJI props have slotted hubs, so even if the nut came loose it would still spin at the same rpm, although off balance. If that happened, it would start bouncing around in the sky and you would know 100% that something was wrong. Once the prop nut...

Another Phantom Fly Away - IMPORTANT

That seems to be a strange case since it's not simply flying away, it's actually flying around a small area across the street from where you took off. This might be a case of wifi interference. Very strange either way. Please let us know if you get to the bottom of it. -Terry

a newbie looking for a copter for professional gopro filming

RTH is a failsafe, and should be used for nothing else. If you are using it as a normal part of your workflow, you are just asking for trouble. Try googling Naza fly away once and see what comes up.

    GPS tracking

Well think about how that "find my iPhone" app works for a second. You open your laptop or another idevice and make a request to track the location of your missing device. That sends a request for location to the device. If the device is able to receive that request, it calculates its lat long...
