3D Robotics Iris: Fully Autonomous, $729

So what FC are they using in this then? APM isn't 32 bit. Is it the PX4 or something similar?

    My brushless gimbal result

So I think I finally solved the only issue I've ever had with this gimbal, so I wanted to share. I fly with the 16mm pancake lens, and I was never able to get the hdmi cable to fit since they all seem to be so wide that they hit the side of the motor. CNC Helicopter just put out a new HDMI...

RTH on FW 5.16 - Problems

Are you using the gimbal outputs from the wookong? If so, try turning them off md giving it a try. I had that problem. When I switched to the brushless gimbal and turned off the wookong gimbal outputs, the problem went away.

    Small fridge for lipos

Hey gang, I've been toying around with the idea of getting a small office fridge to store my lipos in. It seems I get less and less time in the air lately, so I was thinking that might be a better way to think about long term lipo storage. Since it would be a dedicated fridge, I could set...

Cost Of Doing Business - How to suceed financially long term as a creative....

That's funny as hell! ;-) I only make that comparison because I grew up in the restaurant business and had my own for a number of years.

Cost Of Doing Business - How to suceed financially long term as a creative....

To be honest, I don't see this as much different from any other business. There were a lot of good points made early on in this thread about what it takes to succeed in business, and I think that hit it right on the head. It's all about getting involved and doing a lot of networking. I've had...

    Why frames are soo expensive?

If you are buying carbon fiber or fiberglass frames, that is your answer. That material is not cheap, and is presents a huge list of dangers when you work with it. It also takes a lot of money to tool and buy the machines that cut them out.

Wedding photog smashes groom with Phantom

Yes, this is EXACTLY why "photographers" should not try to simply buy a phantom and add aerial photography to their resume. Actions like this are dangerous and will bring the heat down on those of us who do fly responsibly.

    Maker Camp: Kids building quads

Hey gang. Some of you saw my post a couple months back about maker camp. We are in the build week finally and I wanted to share some photos of the kids in the midst of their first build. We are making a couple of 200 sized modified H quads that we printed on a makerbot. The kids are loving it...

were is the best price for Naza Lite

Silly question here slightly off topic, but what is the difference between the Naza Lite and the normal Naza? Is it just the first version repackaged with a new name? Do they limit some of the features or something? I don't understand why it's "lite"?

    CNC for Hire (FREE) Almost

Which software did you go with? I use a CNC machine at the hackerspace that I belong to, and we use camBam. I opted to use the same for my machine, so I didn't order any cam software from Probotix. Also, how was the assemble? I didn't realize they partially put it together for you, so it looks...

    DJI F450 Heavy Lifting?

That S95 is a great camera. Light weight and takes awesome photos... what's not to love. I used the S90 for a ton of my photos over the last couple years, but sadly it fell from about 20 meters last fall and I have yet to get it fixed.

    AlexMos Board Covers

Awesome. Glad to see you guys like it. Let me ask you all a question. How many of the header pins do you have on your board? The first one I got (in the photo) I had to install them myself, so I only added the motor pins & rc pitch control pins. It seemed to me that most people would do that if...

    AlexMos Board Covers

Hey Gang, I designed a cool little cover for my AlexMos board and it crossed my mind that others might be interested in protecting theirs as well. I have a laser cutter and can run a batch of these off if others are interested. It looks pretty cool in person since it's cut out of acrylic and...

    Alexmos Simple BGC from CSGShop

From what I have heard in the past, you are lucky it showed up at all. I've seen several horror stories about ordering from them. Good luck! If they don't sort you out, GotHeliRC.com has them also.

Not sure how serious companies are that are trying this. Probably publicity stunts.

100% publicity stunt. So many people are doing this now it's not even funny. A dry cleaner in Philadelphia was "delivering" with a Phantom on the news the other day. It amounted to him driving to the customers home, then stoping 50 meters short so he could attach a dry cleaned shirt to the...
