Unfortunately, I have not been able to find enough photos of the batwing to show how it's mounted to the frame, how the gimbal mounts to the batwing (no screw holes that I can see) or how the battery mounts to the batwing.

The video was shot in ATTI mode. I have not tried it in manual mode nor do I generally fly in Manual.

Apart from some kind of mount (that apparently DJI doesn't offer!!!), what do I need to get an H3-2D going on my F550? 1) What kind of cable from gimbal to FC? 2) Does one typically power the GoPro from the system or with the internal battery only? 3) Anything else to think of?

I'm trying to determine which does better in wind. I have built the F550 but haven't yet put a gimbal on it.

Do I need landing gear for my F550 that puts the camera out front if I only plan to shoot in 1080? I'm going to use an H3-2D (or 3D if one comes out for the F550). Also, does someone make an adapter that allows me to mount the Zenmuse to the bottom frame directly?

Somehow I lost this, which might explain the vibrations I've been seeing. Any idea who might offer these? EDIT: I found one! DJI includes an extra one in the box the gimbal came in. This saved me a lot of time!

I'm not sure who might purchase Phantom/GoPro aerial photography - I don't find the quality very good. There is a place for the GoPro in television production, however, which is why I want to have both a reliable GoPro platform along with a bigger DSLR rig. Connecting with producers and flying...

Many thanks for all the great detail. I can get the self-centering kit for my Futaba T8J and I'll start there. I was assuming flattening the curve at mid-point, if that's the right way to put it, might also help.

I take it back. After powering up again the A & E are again slightly off. At rest, A is -61 and E is +63. Why does it change each power up, seemingly?

With my Disco Pro and newly-built F550 (maidened this morning!), both with Naza V2, I have trouble in keeping a hover. It seems as if I'm always in a slight ascent or descent. Can I get it so that it stays at the altitude I set it at, like I can with my Phantom? I'm using the T8J.

Ben: For some reason it appears to have corrected itself. I powered up this morning and all seemed good. Who knows why. :)

I see from many older posts that DJI props had a tendency to break mid-flight. Is this still the case? Do I need to worry about DJI props purchased a month ago with my DJI F550 kit? Even if they are now improved, is there a compelling reason to switch to another prop?

Is it okay if I use a shorter dowel/post to mount the puck lower to the frame? For that matter, is there any reason I can't completely omit the post it comes with and tape or velcro the puck itself to an arm or top plate?

I'm toward the end of my F550 build and I'm finding that even after calibration, my A, E & R sticks don't quite center when at rest. They are just a bit off. I can see when I'm calibrating they don't go quite to the end in one direction. I've looked at the end points (Futaba T8J) and they are...
