    Z15 is incredible!

I'm hearing ya 3d. when I look at the Z15 I get the very same feeling I did when checking out the Asctec F8 system Its good and I know it works very well, but its expensive, and more than that its the fact of being so tied in. everything gets superceded and yeah the Nex5 is good but it might not...

    Z15 is incredible!

What makes it so specific? ie why cant you just put, say, a Canon EOS M on it? I know the Z15 is balanced for the specific camera but surely a slight difference would not be that critical if it was a similar weight and size. If you were to contact DJI and say, I want such and such a camera on...

Do you give a flying F**K about helicopters?

Ha Ha, almost as funny as the flying dildo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbnDr_IbdIU

    Some doubts

You use your end point adjustments on your radio to get the slider in failsafe rather than manual, and check the RTH failsafe mode box. You can use mixes to have both manual and RTH function. if you want to use RTH as a function rather than a failsafe, I personally consider IOC home lock to be a...

    Small quads vs bigger Hexa/Octos

I think it all comes down to what your objective is really, if good video, you need a good gimbal really and need enough lift to carry the gimbal + camera with reasonable flight times and having a little surplus power to play with. If it still photography with a compact camera, I use my F330...

    GoproHD2 fpv and making pictures

Mav, on my GP2 50fps is only available when I drop it to 960p, I wonder if mine is a different variant? I would love to have 1080 50p with Narrow FOV, the higher frame rate is so much less prone to Rolling Shutter effect. but the only option on mine is 'wide' for 960. so the fisheye is extreme...

    GoproHD2 fpv and making pictures

SMP, If you use 1080 setting you can take advantage of the narrow FOV and you wont need to do a lens mod.

    British MR fliers UNITE

I work with ROV's everything we do is iaw our operations manual and safety case, nowhere do we have one ops manual/safety case per type of vehicle, the idea seems absurd when transposed into my line of work. Same for our safety case, an ROV is an ROV, A MR UAS is an MR UAS. Like manned aircraft...

    British MR fliers UNITE

Thats a good point Gunter, there are CAA fees, and hoops to jump thru on top of the BNUC ones also.

    British MR fliers UNITE

The specificity of it in actuality would have a very negative impact on commercial users both in terms of reluctance to develop equipment and hence service provided and also in financial terms where it could very realistically cost more to re-certify on new equipment than the cost of the...

I have it that this is an incorrect assumption. The reference to 'type' is apparently an error in CAP722 and the BNUC is still actually system specific.

    Hoverfly HFP+GPS vs NAZA +GPS

have no experience with HFP to compare but I would agree with previous.... Naza GPS is very good and locks in well even in heavy wind. It is very user friendly and set up is a doddle but perhaps if their was a bit more user settings it could be fine tuned. In general flight in all but absolutely...

XAircraft X650 - What gimble do people recommend?

XA one is good for the Gopro but too small for all but the smallest of point and shoots especially if you want to connect up the AV output. I can fit my Canon S95 but not with AV plug. I use a small Canon A490 if I want live view. as the AV socket it high enough to clear the frame. There is now...

XAircraft X650 - Not impressed with the screw quality!

Good info Jes, I find the tiny grub screws of any brand to be the worst. you need em good and tight as there are generally key securing points but if the allen key is not a precise fit they tend to round off. I get through heaps of em.

may seem a little paltry, but the blade 120SR is an awesome wee thing to fly around the house and garden, it has 45 deg flybar so its very stable. hardest thing is the orientations, its just a case of programming the brain, its not easy and takes time and persistance Personally, and its not...

XAircraft X650 - Not impressed with the screw quality!

On the plus side you can get a hardware kit for fairly cheap, I did the same as you, I did use the right screws but I did overtighten them, easy to do if you are using an Allen key rather than a screwdriver with a hex bit. When it came to taking them off for any reason at least 2 out of 3 would...
