    Hoverfly Hoverfly GPS

Agree with you. Thats the point of doing the compass calibration, with all the intended equipment fitted and powered, the metallic environment is a constant however Current changes constantly through flight, and you cant do a compass calibration with motors under load. I use magnetometers on...

    Wookong GPS mode flying

I think it is very good for still photography. using Naza GPS whch is very tight IMO. Yes it definitely feels sticky but I guess thats because it works well. I dont see any use for GPS in AV per se. The value of GPS I suppose is the functions it allows such as RTH, useful for flying out of your...

    Gopro Hero 2

Ben, you can get 50 pal or 60 ntsc on 960 also, The wide FOV sucks though. rwillabee, I think the best setting depends on what you are shooting, close in I think 960 wide 50fps is great but for for higher or more distant stuff I prefer 1080 narrow 25fps. also depends on the weather, if its...

If you can fly one multi rotor can you fly them all ?

Some cogent points there Andy. Jim, no doubt you left with the impression that EuroUSC are actually a reasonable and amiable company working for us and pushing the industry onward and upwards and in are by no means in the business of fleecing people. Now I am not refuting this as that's the...

Gaui 330x does not hold altitude

The GU344 does have an expansion port. I presume was intended for GPS. unfortunately it never did get developed, rather they released the newer GU-INS with GPS. GU-344 is a very fun FC though, had much fun hacking about with it.

Hobbywing Pentium 40A ESC into calibrate/throttle range mode

Yeah, Ive always used 18A Turnigy ESC's in the past and never had a problem, these HW ones are supposedly the same ESC's as Turnigy plush 40A. so thought they would be fine. As I recall the sliders are all going to the ends but I'll check, thanks Kloner. Something I did notice, was that the...

Hobbywing Pentium 40A ESC into calibrate/throttle range mode

They do all enter cal, or throttle range set mode, with hi/lo stick method, when individually connected to Rx channel 3. so it would seem to be a Naza issue. With them all calibrated by this method, cannot get any motors to start however, when all connected back up to ESC outputs on Naza.

Hobbywing Pentium 40A ESC into calibrate/throttle range mode

Hmm having difficulty getting my ESC's into calibrate mode using the max throttle - connect ESC's - down throttle method. Using Hobbywing 40A Pentium and Hitec Aurora. Done this a good many times with Turnigy Plush with no problem. Any Ideas?

    I've finally bitten the bullet!

Hey Rich, good luck with it, I never used this on my 330 or 450 but I should, have you seen the Gaui 330 with the ball on a straw thing, its great for orientation, its about 3 quid. So easy to lose orientation on these symmetrical machines, the white & black means not a lot when your up high or...

Alternatives to gopro for autoshooting still pictures.

The CHDK is very useful but if you have, or plan to get a later Canon model you should check the CHDK wiki to make sure its supported. I use a A490 and S95 in intervalometer mode, you might struggle to get a shot every second though, even if you have it set at 1 sec.

    Balancing Xoar props

I've also had a rough time with Xoars, exactly as you described, lesser but similar problem with APC's. Strangely the motors and props I have had the least vibration trouble from have been Xaircraft. no kidding!!

    Hoverfly Hoverfly GPS

Ahh, I see now, thats good to know, just having a look at some spec, nothing stated about tolerances that I could see. 30ft does seem a lot. Only thing I can think of really is EMI from the 6 motor wires. BTW, Have you tried the 'same path home' RTH function, that sounds handy.

Perhaps this systems suffers a little by having the GPS sensor on the board, like the APM2 which is also a little slack in PH, rather than the DJI method.

If you can fly one multi rotor can you fly them all ?

Wasn't directed at you Ross, just an observation, or rather a cynical supposition. but it has to at the back of anyone's mind who does this commercially, or plans to give it a go. I actually have no place making comments like that. Its not like I'm a seasoned pro whose flown AP Heli's for years...

hello .. i think i have a problem with my naza

I have recently had a similar problem, 10 seconds into flight, first red flash and lose sufficient power to maintain control and oscillates down to heavy landing. This only happens when I use 1 particular battery and every time I use that battery. the battery when I check it reads almost a full...

If you can fly one multi rotor can you fly them all ?

Oh yes and with the amount of cameraships 'out there', no shortage of willing takers who will do it for £50, no doubt uncertified and Illegally. Dont mean to ruffle feathers but its the truth.
