Yep, that's the other half of the reason why we grounded our original Ronin (the first half being it weighs a ton). The roll drift is pretty horrendous.

I fiddled with my cable today and it works great. On my JR, a positive input starts recording video and a negative input takes a still photo. Should be easy to program a quick mix to switch between modes and use a spring switch for the shutter.

I got mine from Quadrocopter, if that helps. I do need to test it soon.
