    Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib X4 Ti-QR "wobble"

As I said earlier, I already tested with the built MoVi and had the same results, just slightly dampened (with various combinations of gains). With the way this thing has been acting I don't feel comfortable at all flying it in manual mode. I haven't seen those, got a link? That definitely...

    Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib X4 Ti-QR "wobble"

Too much lift was actually my very first thought when I noticed the problem... when idling at medium speed it was barely under takeoff power with the original props. I quickly dropped it to low... the first few landings were terrifying because the aircraft acted like it wanted to fall over, and...

    Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib X4 Ti-QR "wobble"

So I test flew the F450 with the A2 today and had no issues, it was rock solid with no sign of the wobble that the Skyjib has, which leads me to believe that it's a motor, ESC or prop problem. Prop can be mostly ruled out as it happens with both 16" APCs and 18" T-Props. Sooo that leaves the...

    200 mph FPV

Nice, I've been thinking about putting an FPV setup onto my Funjet. Mine only hits about 90 or so though.

    Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib X4 Ti-QR "wobble"

I've had this issue for a while and I'm getting nowhere fast. We ordered this rig from Intelligent UAS (first mistake... don't ask) last year and finally got it. Unfortunately, it has an odd tendency to wobble very time I return pitch/roll back to center. The controller is an A2. Motors are...

Budget vs Tmotor props experiment results.

I switched to APC 18X5.5MRs from T-Props and knockoffs, and they seemed much quieter and smoother. No testing for me though... I didn't fly the other props much but the APCs seemed to be more efficient as well.

    Mental Block? Try Sarcasm!

I've worked around a lot of creative people, and the majority are sarcastic... knew there had to be a correlation there somewhere!

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

I was more interested in using it on a different aircraft than the Alta. The original MR kit on the M10 is limited to a 15lb aircraft, but I suspect that's limited by the pan motor rather than the strength of the landing gear though.

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

Any idea what the weight capacity is for the Aero gear? Same as the MR kit?

    Joystick controllers

Yeah, just a little ;) I do like it though. I ordered a couple of parts to work on this project, we'll see how it goes.

    Flight simulator

FPV is only usable on 3D fields, the Photofield landscape is rendered from actual photos so the perspective would be all wrong if you moved from a set position :)

    44 old kid :D

Whoah, hold on there... I'm only 31. I've been a 40 year old since I was 12 though, at least that's what my friends tell me :p

advice for a build around a blackmagic micro camera

I've been considering a similar build, thinking about a midsize Tarot frame with a Gremsy H3, which will also carry a GH4 in a pinch. The little BMC is a GREAT looking camera, I fiddled with one at a trade show recently and was pretty impressed with the features.

    Joystick controllers

Any that can be controlled with an external radio, but we're currently using a MoVi M10.

    Joystick controllers

Maybe I should have put this into a more-frequented section.... :( Would it be possible to simply wire a 2 or 3 axis joystick controller into a Futaba trainer cable? ETA: Something like this: https://www.servocity.com/html/3_function_joystick.html ETA2: Or, alternatively, pull out a gimbal...

    Flight simulator

Freerider works great with my Realflight controller, too :) Realflight is good for some things... styles like FPV racing or hard multirotor aerobatics leave something to be desired, though. Some tinkering can make it a little more realistic. IMHO it's definitely the best for fixed wing. Works...

FREEFLY Systems Alta #1 picked up by MRF own Steve Maller

This sounds awfully foreign to me... usually it results in a few seconds of terror. Alta is sounding better and better.

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

What are you considering to be close proximity? We've been running two Futaba receivers on a Cinestar/MoVi combo for months now with no issues.

New Release: Connex HD Video Downlink 3000FT $1599.

That was why I never used the Lightbridge. Since the Connex is 5.8ghz, using 2.4 on aircraft and gimbal control is no problem.
