    Hoverfly Something Big?

The trouble with that work around is that it makes the OSD battery voltage display of no use.

    Hoverfly Something Big?

You know you can calibrate the OSD battery?. I have been using the OSD battery for over a year now on 2 different boards in 3-4 different machines and have never seen it fail. Weird one. How does the OSD battery failing cause a rig to crash? I ask this so i can know what to look out for.

    XAircraft SuperX

Hopefully the super x will end up being a well respected controller, Xaircraft had an absolute nightmare 18 months ago with its previous effort, would be nice to see them have some success having learned from the previous outing.

Hoverfly Pro vs. Naza V2 - one pilot's opinion

No but after xmas will probably buy one depending on how the others find them. I just need something smaller and reliable for the waterproof hexa. The OP boards and the KK boards and Naza just arent reliable enough for me.

Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

Phil with respect to the course corrections while going in a straight line, another user on here, Paul, (aerovideous) has had success with the 3rd axis brushless stabilization fixing that issue for him. I havent tried it yet but Paul puts out some very cool video and his straight line stuff now...

Motor angle dihedral What’s the deal with this?

Im not sure which people you think believe the technology is so mystical to use trial and error over science. My first comment was aimed at the fact that the size of the shim isnt gong to have a big enough impact on thrust to make it worth worrying about. I should have been clearer on that. The...

    Hoverfly Something Big?

I think there will be more following given the HFP is coming up to 3 years old. HF need to keep up. The AH isnt anywhere near as good as the NAZA, I have only had a brief play with the GPS board but it sounds like every other FC GPS board out there is better. My HFP boards will continue to do...

Tom, very nice, the only thought I can offer is that if its a showreel for your company you might want to pop your logo/details/etc at the front and back end.

Hoverfly HF Pro Arming Troubles - Purple Flashing Light

You shouldnt have any accelerometer drift at all. Its possibly the AL settings that arent quite right yet, HF have a different way to do things from everyone else and it can seem quite weird to do, almost illogical on one level. Have you done the temperature calibration yet? Cheers

Hoverfly HF Pro Arming Troubles - Purple Flashing Light

I think you will find ultimately the temperamental nature of the setup software for some reason comes down to usb cables. I have had the problem and tried a number of them until I found one that worked all the time. the other cables that were temperamental work fine elsewhere. i have no idea why...

Hoverfly HF Pro Arming Troubles - Purple Flashing Light

The new firmware has changed how you select your configuration. All the info is in the release notes on the hoverfly support pages. If you go in to the pro info section of the Setup software you will see the option to select the configuration there from a drop down tab. Use that to choose the...

Motor angle dihedral What’s the deal with this?

Go do it, measure the before and after and get back to us on that one. Theory is one thing but reality is another.

Motor angle dihedral What’s the deal with this?

I seriously doubt that a 5mm shim would have any real world impact on the vertical thrust and efficiency.

Motor angle dihedral What’s the deal with this?

A local guy here had problems with his Hexa, a Skyjib that he bought off Droidworx and they supplied it under powered for the specs he supplied ( staggering the number of people that have issues with droidworx these days, its not small...) Anyway an interim way to improve his yaw response was...

Whats the best way to improve my FPV clarity?

I wish I could find somewhere that makes extension cables for the circular polarised aerials. With my multis it gets a bit difficult positioning the aerial clear of landing gear and gimbals etc. I can put the tx down low but would rather have the electronics all in one place and run an extension...
