    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

Hi Tim, Yes, I have had the 14" and 16" APC props on with different amounts of dead weight to simulate the camera mount and camera. Wayne Mann

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

Sorry, but I have read way too many bad things about MK. I am no DJI fanboy, but the Wookong is a great flying unit. I'm sure that the A2 is as well, but it seems to have a ton of issues as well. Wayne Mann

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

I have several hundred flights on my WK-M and it has been very reliable, BUT I have had two instances where it did not boot up correctly. The second time I caught the error before take off, but the first time it happened I was flying out in the ocean off of a boat and when it took off I had no...

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

Hi guys, I have been keeping up with this thread since the beginning and I had high hopes for this controller. Having two heavy lift Octos that typically have Epics or Dragons in the camera mounts I was looking for something a little more reliable than a Wookong, which I have in my primary...

I have to agree with everything SleepyC said. Good riddance. They will be much better off without him. Wayne

XAircraft Tilting Motors on an Octo

Hi Guys, I am building a new Octo for Epics with a XAircraft SuperX waiting to go in. My current Octo for GH3s and 5Ds is using a Wookong and the only way I can get the Octo itself to be stabe on pan axis is to lean the motors about 3.5 degrees. Are any of you SuperX users with Octos leaning...

Hi Guys, The second Skyline mounts directly beside the tilt axis Skyline. The tilt axis Skyline is obviously mounted to the Tilt axis shaft and the roll axis Skyline is sitting right behind it on the side plate that houses the tilt axis bearing. I doubt that it would be possibe to rotate the...

Hi Guys, The second Skyline is mounted to the side of the camera mount on one of the arms or sides that support the tilt axis bearings. It sits right behind the tilt axis Skyline. There is no black magic. Wayne Mann

No, they are on one of my custom mounts which are very rigid. The gyros are mounted via velcro, but they also have a 3mm screw going through the center hole with just enough pressure to keep them from wiggling around. Wayne Mann

I have to agree with Matt also. I am using one Skyline for each axis with 1.13 and they are working great. I am using one battery that is powering two regulators and each regulator is powering its own Skyline. Is this system perfect, of course not, but it works extremely well. I have not...

Hi guys, I forgot to mention that I do have seperate power going to the receiver. There is only one lead coming from the receiver and it is going to the tilt input connection and it only has the ground wire and signal wire connecting to the Skyline. Wayne

Hi guys, I will throw in my .02 cents in an effort to help as I have gotten some ideas to try from some of you. I have thought about using a seperate Skyline for each axis for several weeks now, but I have been too busy to sit down and experiment. I had the Skyline working very well (not...

    Photohigher RSGS Skyline Owners thread

The first problem is the POS Hexa or Octo that is vibrating, due to whatever reason. The next problem is the way the machine is being flown. Those two things alone make it nearly impossible to draw any conclusions regarding mount stability or servo twitching. The GoPro is the third problem...

Well I don't have any of Kim's (Photo Higher's) mounts, but I did purchase two of the Skyline Gyros and I did have issues with the units with Futaba S9255 modified servos. I switched to Futaba S3151 standard servos and the performance improved greatly. So I went down to the local hobby shop...

Hi guys, I just bought two SC 1258tg Savox servos to test. Has anyone modified these servos for 360 rotation? I have a question. How to you get the pot to turn loose from the top, black plastic case. When I modify Futaba servos the pot pivot shaft will just push through the top case which...

On a three axis mount having the pan axis stabilized removes any movement in the camera if the tail rotor is moving around due to windy conditions. It is absolutely necessary in my opinion. I would not fly a mount with pan axis without stabilizing it. Wayne Mann

Hi Adarsh, before you click to save settings you must first click on "Power On" just above "Save Settings" so that it is not checked. Then you can click on save settings. You can not save settings if the gyro is active. I hope this helps. Wayne Mann

Hi Guys, I got to fly the unit quite a bit today and here are some ofmy thoughts and findings. To get the unit to drive Futaba servos you have to reversethe pot wires. The black Harness potwire goes to the white Futaba pot wire and the white Harness pot wire goes tothe red Futaba pot wire...
