I noticed after I posted this that the MRF news bot had already linked to a similar article a few days ago. What I noticed mainly was the "high speed" run was a straight :rolleyes:o_O line. Not much of a challenge, IM(ns)HO. It was funny to watch the obstacle avoidance. Seems it needs some PID...

My first destructive crash broke off the left rear motor pod. The other 3 were still functioning so I managed to hop it down off the roof. I haven't had it back in the air as replacement parts just arrived. Hopefully I'll have time to take it up in the next few days. Yours does sound like...

I saw a MR race vid from across the pond on youtube where the forward tilt was only used on 1 pair. They also had different length arms between the front and rear pairs. It was explained that this improved speed/agility while reducing spin-out in turns caused my all 4 motors being tilted.

Just remember, FPV is by wifi so there will be greater lag as distance increases. At close range it will barely be flyable via FPV. It's not like the FatShark et al 5.8G realtime downlinks.

There are a couple of TX and RX mods for the non-FPV version on youtube that you might adapt to the FPV. I haven't had time to try them yet. Traxxis(sp?) is supposed to have harder prop shafts that fit. There's a motor upgrade, but I'm not sure if it fits the FPV or just the non-FPV models. I'm...

And.... the motor covers are stuck in Chico, CA since 2/1. USPS must be a subsidiary of the VA. Would have done better to order on eBay than Amazon this time. Only thing slower would be China. Found a HobbyTown nearby, but they only have the non-FPV motor covers. At least I got the guts swapped...

swapped out my main frame from the crash the other week and took the camera apart while I was at it.... Does that help any?

"Dirty" air below 3-4ft will cause issues so best to 'pop up' at takeoff like JoeBob said. I know mine is funky just skimming along and it's low power and light compared to anything else.
