Michael64 if you want to get familiar with the handling AeroSim makes a sim that supports the Quad, Hexa, and Octo. You can start flying even before you get the MK.

Go to eBay and look for Hardigg Military cases. The military throws these cases out of airplanes so they are sturdy.

Just wanted to add that there is now a simulator called AeroSim that supports the MK platforms be it a Quad, Hexa, or Octo. It's much less expensive to crash on a sim learning than with the actual MK. You can brush up your flying skills even before purchasing a MK. It also has the ability...

Everything that flies carries an expiration date. Unfortunately we never know what that date is until the crash.

If you don't want to use a cardboard box for the level calibration it's pretty easy to make one of these from some scraps of wood. Mine hangs on the wall in the workroom when not in use. Guess you could turn it upside down for a Heli Pad to practice landings too.
