I agree tranquilla! This is especially true with carbon fiber frames! I know you have invested teh money already but you might be better off if you invest in the new DJI hex heavy lift propulsion system. That would be the way I would go! Best of luck!

If it is an opto of any brand then you do NOT have to cut the wire. If the ESC has an internal BEC then you should just remove the middle pin and heat shrink it instead of cutting it so that you can reuse on another project if you upgrade :)
