KDE vs T-Motor -- Picking a Motor Based on Spec Sheets

Sorry, not trying to sidetrack the thread, but quick question I never got resolved about this frame - It seems to be a really popular choice, but are people worried about performance due to the low CG? A flat rig with a heavy camera and gimbal hanging off of it is enough of a "flying pendulum"...

Ok cool good luck. Bart, let's get back to actual content!

Want to attract talented people with advanced concepts?

Jay, I represent a small group of people who want to have reasonable friendly discourse while helping each other learn and grow as professionals. You look at first site like a pretty cool guy, but that's what I thought of the last people I met. I cannot afford to waste my time, so I need to...

Want to attract talented people with advanced concepts?

Dude, you are really intense. You'll find this is a fantastic community if you don't come out the gate making demands with a borderline hostile tone. Just say hi, ask questions, be patient. There are a LOT of pros here willing to help and eager to explore new ideas.

1100mm hex build. Hexacrafter, T-Motor, A2. Oh my.

Pumpkinguy, from the look of the classifieds it seems you're changing up your power train? Been following this build and interested to hear your plan...

    How the Pros fly

Thanks Sleepy, although I would argue my main point in this thread is that it's the SAFETY that counts. The footage comes second!

    How the Pros fly

Thanks for all the replies guys. It sounds largely what I would expect it to be... I think I was just thrown off when browsing these forums because I seem to hear a lot of talk about manual flight from the more seasoned folks. I can fly manual pretty well now, but the thought of relying on it on...

    How the Pros fly

Thanks for the input Sleepy. To clarify, I guess by FPV in this instance I mean watching your FPV cam on a monitor, not using goggles. Is that technically equally illegal? I guess specifically: Does your friend who flies manual do it while watching a video feed or by watching the multi rotor...

    How the Pros fly

As a long-time video professional getting more and more involved in multi rotor systems, and beginning to form business plans of my own, a (possibly noobish) question keeps popping up for me: With larger, more expensive, and more dangerous 2-man AP systems... how do you prefer to fly...

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

Does that 15lb payload count the weight of the Movi itself?

    Made an Ominus Mistake Tonight

I have one and love it. Just got the regular version instead of FPV though after I saw Lucidity's review - it seemed too laggy to do proper FPV flying. And the battery lasts a long time too!

New 540 Class Folding Quad Frame

Got it. A lot to consider. Thanks for all the info!

New 540 Class Folding Quad Frame

Hmm. Good to know. I'm sure you are right about the motors, but I've already got a $350 zenmuse gimbal that is great... are there potential issues with this gimbal?

New 540 Class Folding Quad Frame

Cool. How much?? (I can PM if you prefer). I'm looking to strip down my F550 with naza v2 and just use those components as a start. Hopefully 4 of the DJI 2212 motors will cut it until I can upgrade? (Ecalc seems to think so, though flight times will be short)

New 540 Class Folding Quad Frame

Very interested in this frame!... It's hard to tell from the photos, but is there a locking mechanism keeping the arms in place, or is it just screw torque? Is there danger of arms moving or rotating during aggressive flight? Is there a significant difference in flight behavior due to what...

    Best cheap RTF quad

Second the Ominus. Just got one 2 days ago and it's wonderful fun.

    Best compact/folding frame?

I'm afraid it's too late for apologies, you have made a powerful internet enemy today! Or not. ;) But yes, doing a build log could be in the cards if I go in this direction. To throw another question out there - with a small(ish) quad like this, I think I'm really looking for speed and...

    Best compact/folding frame?

The childish cartoon was intended to express my interest in purchasing the mentioned system in a humorous way. I'll certainly be reaching out to Paul about this frame as I get closer to making purchasing decisions. I'm deeply sorry for sullying the elevated mature adult discourse. :p
