I realized that right after posting! Do you reckon all that weight is necessary if you want to make it auto-tunable, as they advertise it to be? By that I mean, do you think it will be possible to make a gimbal that versatile lighter?

What about the Ronin? According to DJI accepts multiple cameras, including RED, auto-tunes, is handheld and, if I'm not mistaken, can be put on a MR. $3K.

What decent option is $3K?

I'm not against that. Any suggestions apart from Movi or DJI? I'm not purchasing a $14K gimbal and I'm not trusting DJI with $2500.

From what I can tell, choosing a camera is FAR easier than finding a gimbal. It seems everyone buys a gimbal, finds it doesn't work, sells for loss of money and time, then repeat. Is there a way to avoid that process and just get a good gimbal the first time?

If you can get this kind of lift from a quad, why does anyone deal with the extra arms, extra weight, extra size and extra cost of an octo to fly large cameras? Is your quad not half-ish the price of a heavy-lifting octo? Your quad will lift my Scarlet no problem.
