What batteries to buy - Total Noob

The Turnigy batteries are low cost and have basically no guarantee, I'm not saying that they are bad. What is your craft worth? Use a good balance charger and learn how to charge, discharge and store your batteries. I use Thunder Power Batteries and charger. They aren't cheap, but I have...

Do you have to remove the Red esc wire ??

Don't cut the red wire. Just fold it back to get it out of the way incase you need it later. Use heat shrink or elec. tape. You can pull it from the connector if you release the clip that is holding it in place.

Flashing lights suggestions required for poor eyesight.

Utimate Battery Eliminator Circuit this is us to reduce the voltage from your battery to the LED's or anything else that uses 12v. Your 3s 4000mAh battery would not need this, because it is 11.1v . A 4s battery is 14.8v and you might want to use a UBEC. The LED's will work with higher voltage...

You might need a UBEC to meter your voltage if your battery voltage is above 12v. The LED's run on 12v. The strips are about 36 inches long and...

    Is my GPS ruined?

Looks like a little clear silicon sealant will fix the GPS, but you won't know if the GPS is goofy until you try it, be careful. Heat shrink should fix the antenna. The prop(s) should be sanded or filed to match the other tip and rebalanced. Check the prop, by flexing slightly, to be sure that...

I would imagine if you want a camera op then he/she would need to have their own Tx/Rx so as to be able to operate the gimbal independent of the aircraft. They should have FPV also so that they can see what they are photographing. That is the set-up that I use. I have a 9ch Tx for my aircraft...
