    Turnigy Tachometer - DOA

I'll be darn. It was the battery. I ran it off my power supply at 3V and it does work. I looked at the power curve of a 2032 battery and by the time it drops from 3V to 2.8V it has already spent much of it's power. Live and learn. :o

    Turnigy Tachometer - DOA

So did mine. I swapped it with one that had 2.8 volts in it. Maybe that still isn't enough voltage. Bart: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=5609

    Take your props off!!!!

#1? Avoiding electrical damage....saving the Bl-Ctrls, testing the boards, and uploading firmware. I can't tell you how many uses you will find for one once you have one. But, yes, if all props started at full power it would have overloaded and cut voltage and current to the point where the...

    Take your props off!!!!

I think that a multirotor hobby requires a current limiting power supply for a number of reasons. This would be #2.

    My Newb Okto2 Build Thread

Well yes. I've seen it more than once. Those particular joints are relatively easy to solder. The caps, bl-ctrl, and distribution board need 'it' better. Wait 30 days and tell me I'm wrong. ;) I don't care if I am wrong but I try to save people some 'MK bucks'. ;) It's June 30 and the clock...

    My Newb Okto2 Build Thread

Ouch, OK, that one pic gave me eyeball hemorrhages. ;) At this point I'm trying to figure out if the computer can talk to the MKUSB. So leave the copter out of the equation. Pull the 10 pin cable off. Just use the MKUSB and the USB cable. You should see the leds flicker a couple times and go...

    My Newb Okto2 Build Thread

Plug it into MK and you should hear the computer beep. In win XP, there will be an icon on bottom right that says "safely remove hardware'. Double click that to open and look at what com ports are being used. You probably have Win7 though and I do not have enough seat time to tell you what to...

    Turnigy Tachometer - DOA

I just received a Turnigy Tachometer and it is mostly dead. Can someone tell me if there are suppose to be parts where the bare pads are?

Open the terminal window and pick the correct com port. The negative pad looks a little sketchy. Cover the baro sensor with foam and heatshrink. Kirk

Camera Mount Rolling Off To The Right Problem

Yes, scaling factor. That's the term. :) Perhaps you guys with tilt problems should try out FC version .78F as a test to see if it makes a difference.

Camera Mount Rolling Off To The Right Problem

The first parameter sets the servos position. IOW, as it changes the servo changes position. The compensation parameter is similar to a multiplier. It increases or decreases the amount of movement to compensate for different setups. IOW, If you were to tilt the craft, 20 degrees, the linkage...

Semi crash today, Problems with Photohigher AV200

Oh that bites. Hopefully you won't miss the Small World ride in the Magic Kingdom. If you get the chance to do big people stuff, take a front seat ride on the Hulk coaster at Universal. Do not watch any videos of it ahead of time though.

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Quadrino success

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1438619 That's the little push I needed to get mine back in the air and see if there are any firmware upgrades. There is (or was) an error in the compass axis portion of the multiwii code that would throw the readings off at different attitudes...

Yea, wire tie some sticks on the bottom. I used my wife's broom stick but don't tell her that.:)

Semi crash today, Problems with Photohigher AV200

Cool! I guess the real question now is why did you crash in the first place? Especially when running a high dollar cam mount. Did you dumb thumb it or did it not behave?

Semi crash today, Problems with Photohigher AV200

I can't say I know anything about those Boris, but don't they separate the motor from the potentiometer? If so, then I would suspect that the pot or it's wiring is suspect.

    Maxxprod CF props

I'm pretty sure they are the exact same props. I bought a couple bagged sets and they are identical to the stock MK props. There are 4 versions of EPP props that I know of. V1 were shiny and brittle. - JUNK. V2 were dull, the 10x45 mark is near the middle of the blade, and they are not...
