Tau Labs A few questons about getting started

yes, that is the Object browser. I believe you are looking at the data objects though. My guess is that what you are looking at are the desired pulse outputs. You want to look at Settings.ActuatorSettings for the Update Frequency. Update freq is how many times a second the signals are sent to...

    Mikrokopter Uncontrolled Yaw - SOLVED

Good point. It's worth checking that the sticks are centered as seen by the FC. MKTool will show that.

Tau Labs A few questons about getting started

I should have been more specific. What is the build date of the GCS? Also go to the firmware tab and see if it says the build date of the firmware. It may or may not show depending on the GCS build. Make sure that you upload the firmware that comes with the GCS build. If you can export the UAV...

Tau Labs A few questons about getting started

Did you assign motor channels in the aircraft tab? That could be why the 'Update Rate' is inactive. The 'Get Current' button is so last month. ;) I wish they would bring it back. You firmware version may be useful to know.

Tau Labs A few questons about getting started

Bart, Can you post a direct link along with the copy/paste. Things change fast with OP and WIKI and most other things for that matter. I could very well be confused or just plain wrong but maybe the motors have to be reversed with the check boxes on the output tab. Kirk

    Mikrokopter Uncontrolled Yaw - SOLVED

David, It's takes about 12 seconds to 'remove' the navi and compass. Pull the two cables off of the FC and transfer your telemetry cable to the 10 pin on the FC. Then uncheck them in MKTool. You could likely just uncheck them so they don't function but removing the cables is a 100% guarantee...

    Mikrokopter Uncontrolled Yaw - SOLVED

Dave, Which way does #3 motor spin? If BL3 is not acting right then that could be enough to yaw the copter although the MK would try to compensate as much as possible. What I would do is to remove both cables to the navi and turn off compass and navi functions in the firmware. That's take...

    Mikrokopter Uncontrolled Yaw - SOLVED

What does the yaw gyro and compass scope reading look like in MKTool when sitting still and when props are powered but MK is still. EDIT: I would fix the I2C error first though.

Mikrokopter Camera Servos active with out calibration!

That will happen when the FC does not see any motors. It automatically goes into camera mode. The cables should not have anything to do with it unless you did something to bork the I2C signal maybe.

motors don't spin up on 5S?

No, that only determines spin direction.

    The Everglades

I remember it being a skew-planar but close enough. It's circular polarized. You did both ends right? How do you like it? ;)

    Time to design a contest!

Ok since you asked. I suck at flying. Can automated methods be used? What is the prize? I may have to bribe someone to do some coding. :) The table top thing makes it easier for small sport copters. Either way, I think the winner should be chosen randomly from the 'serious' attempts. Maybe...
